I don't want to start the posts too early, but I was just wondering if anyone knew how long it is actually supposed to take to get results this year. I know that some people I worked with last summer got theirs in early-mid July. I checked out the CNO website and the CNA website (and a few others along the way) one says 8-12 weeks and the other says 4-6. I'm already driving myself crazy...if I have to wait another 8+ weeks I'll end up really going off the deep end
That's total BS though! Many people in Ontario got it last week!
I don't understand why they would tell a caller that when they must know that we all share this kind of info. I'm in Windsor and I'm doubting I'll get anything today. My mailman must think I'm into him as I've been waiting for him for the past week.:redbeathe
I'm actually getting to the point of being ****** off...
I called the CNO today to ask about an extension on the deadline to apply for the CRNE in October if we have still not gotten our results yet. The lady on the phone then went on to tell me "Well, we just mailed them out yesterday".
What BULL!!! Why do they tell every single person that calls something different? We're not stupid. This whole system is absolutely ridiculous.
Still waiting....

Sorry to hear that, but glad to hear you're not giving up! You should feel good that you only failed by one point when you left 30 questions! That exam was absolutely brutal in terms of time AND content... and I'm sure many people are in the same boat that had to leave or guess questions, but failed by a lot more than you did... My advice would just be to do as many practice questions as you can in an exam-like setting in preparation for the test, to get used to reading the questions and choosing an answer quickly...
The online test wasn't very helpful as the questions were much easier and shorter than the ones on the exam and you had almost 2 minutes per question whereas on the exam I believe it was about 64-69 seconds per question... It's all about being able to manage the stress... You'll be better prepared to manage it next time and you will kick butt!
Still nothing in the mail for me in Hamilton today! This is torturousCongratulations to all who have found out they passed and for those who did not, do not give up hope... just another bump in this very bumpy road we've been on for quite some time...
Could someone who has found out that they were not successful on the exam and had/has a temp license let those of us who are still waiting know if their information has been changed on findanurse? I'd REALLY appreciate it... one less thing to obsessively check....
Good luck to everyone still waiting!
Are you sure? I just got mine, and I'm in Grimsby, my mail doesn't come till around noon.
It is unprofessional to say the least. I have 0 respect for the CNO. Our proctor in Ottawa was abusive, and the abuse continues with the misinformation provided. We have paid a lot of money to this organization and will be required to for many years to come (hopefully). I know we pay less than other provinces but our wait more than reflects this. If this was a store or service I would no longer be a consumer. We are all aware of the power we as Nurses have in numbers. Why do we just accept it? As someone mentioned before, many of us will forget this ordeal once we recieve results... we need to advocate to change this for future applicants. It is one thing to wait for results, but another to continue to get inaccurate information from a "professional organization". There should be updates and facts posted at the CNO website. This is our careers, lives and everything we have been working towards for the last 4 years. It is shameful that we are afraid to upset the people who hold our licence in their hand (see prior posts). I doubt physicians are treated with such little regard by their college.....
