June CEP applicants

Published

I know it's still a ways off but I was SUPER excited to see the application session was available for registration tonight! So I thought I'd start a thread for those of us applying in June.

I'm applying for CEP with upper Iowa and I can't wait. I've already been in contact with the Iowa advisor and she has been SO incredibly helpful and nice answering my millions of questions and setting me up with a game plan for classes.

So who else is applying?

I got mine at 9:10pm

@rachaelofcourse I'll be attending GWCC if you want to add me/me add you! ?😊

I have a 3.9 GPA and a 96 overall on my Hesi and am so glad I left GCU in the dust and applied to the CEP, I'm at SCC/NAU. I feel bad for anyone sticking with GCU that was once again has left all their transfer applicants hanging in the wind. I'm east valley and always try to organize a study group, any SCC students interested?

GCUcrazy, I too was a summer applicant for GCU and decided to move on. Things are just too fishy there. I also will be going to SCC/NAU and would love to form a study group. I live in the north/east valley. I think it would be great to connect to someone before school starts. I am definitely interested so let me know what you think :-)

Can you message me on here? Apparently, I haven't posted enough to message anyone. -_-

I, too, gave up on GCU. I started as a Freshman there, I applied for Spring 2015, and was denied because my advisor really dropped the ball. I got a C in A&P I, and was in the process of retaking it when I put my application in. He told me it'd be totally fine, as all my other classes were A's with 2 B's. Guess not! They also screwed me over on my housing, leaving me to owe them $3K. I ended up withdrawing and switching to the CC's. THEN, after I paid the "debt" off, they tried to withhold my transcript, saying my withdrawal was never processed. Bull crap. I have been fighting with them since December and just barely got everything straightened out. Its a shame the school has such crappy business ethics, because they have some of the most amazing teachers I've ever had. Glad you and Trin are set up at SCC!

@AzBlueBell and everyone else that has gotten their letters!

What a relief! So glad you FINALLY heard, Congratulations!!! :)

*not sure I like the app version of this forum! Lol!*

I couldn't agree more! I posted about my horrific experience with GCU on the 2015 Fall hopefuls. GCU was a joke. I applied once and it was the worst experience always being left in the dark. I'd ask my advisor questions only to have him fish through and answer a select few of them. I was accepted as an alternate. CEP is the way to go! I got on the Maricopa wait list in April and I'm already accepted and starting in August with GCC Evenings/NAU. For all those feeling discouraged, know you have better options of fulfilling your dream of becoming a nurse in a timely manner!:nurse:

@AzNurseG

I told all my GCU friends that if I would've known about the community college's CEP program before GCU, I would've just went the CC route from the beginning! I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who had issues, as weird as that sounds.

Can you message me on here? Apparently, I haven't posted enough to message anyone. -_-

Ok. I just sent you a message. Hopefully I did it correctly.

I couldn't agree with you more. I spent so long trying to figure out a way to afford Brookline College because at the time they were offering a free Masters of nursing degree and it sounded like such a sweet deal. But I just couldn't find a way to afford 40k..i just gave up and pursued the CC route and was wondering this whole time why I never thought of it in the first place...

Did everyone fax/email their signed contract and agreement for placement at their Maricopa Community College site? I faxed mine over the day I received my letter. Also, anyone attending NAU start the application process?
