I know it's still a ways off but I was SUPER excited to see the application session was available for registration tonight! So I thought I'd start a thread for those of us applying in June.
I'm applying for CEP with upper Iowa and I can't wait. I've already been in contact with the Iowa advisor and she has been SO incredibly helpful and nice answering my millions of questions and setting me up with a game plan for classes.
Still didn't hear anything today congrats to those who were accepted already!
Looks like some people had Estrella as a choice but didn't get placed there...I'm wondering if they had more applicants than max capacity for the cohort then? Still haven't heard of anyone being placed at Estrella yet so I'm not sure if they have sent out emails yet or not. Seems weird that they wouldn't send them out though with the other colleges sending theirs out.
Was trying to remain patient but now I'm just in a frustrating limbo for the weekend it seems.
For the question about the different orientation dates..it's possibly because NAU and Maricopa both have orientations that we must attend. I know this because I was accepted into Maricopa's traditional program for this fall and attended their orientation and she said she holds a separate one for CEP students. I'm not sure if those are the ones you received as I was accepted at SCC (and still am for CEP yay!) but it sounds like it to me!
Thats rough waiting.. I would be frustrated too. My friend got her acceptance letter before me and i got mine about 4 hours later but those 4 hours i was so so worried:/ im sure there has to be some sort of explanation. I would defiantly call estrella Monday first thing! I have yet to hear about anyone being placed at emcc either so maybe they are behind! Stay positive.. My fingers are crosssed for you!

I am so sorry that you are still waiting, it is pure torture. I called GCC right away when I received my acceptance from Phoenix and asked if there was any way to get me in at GCC, she said there were over 110 applicants for GCC and only 80 some spots and that PVCC wasn't even taking applicants this time around. She didn't mention anything about Estrella though, so I am sure they are just trying to figure out how to spread everyone out since there were so many applicants. Stay positive, you will hear back soon and I am sure it will be good news.
Hey guys, I talked to the NAU advisor last Wednesday because I had a question about transcripts. He told me that they were changing the dates for the NAU orientation. He didn't tell me when but had just mentioned it to me. The 17th and 18th could be the new date for orientation. Anyways, congrats to everyone that has heard back. I'm getting anxious for all the Estrella applicants. I'm interested to know why they didn't have any spots for PVCC. That was my first choice because of convenience. Oh well, excited to go to SCC. I took patho there and absolutely loved my teacher so excited to have her again!
I would love to add anyone who is attending GWCC or UIU on Facebook, that way we can better connect! My mother in law is about to start block 4 at Glendale and said networking and getting to know people you'll be around beforehand really helps. Let me know if you want to add me/me add you and we'll PM :)
She likes it! Her biggest complaint was for block 1, she had an instructor who was teaching for the first time. You can imagine some of the issues that ensued with that. For the OB part of block 3, they messed up her clinical placement so she got stuck going to Mountain Vista out in Apache Junction. Other than that, its been good to her! She likes all the resources available there, and all of the staff/teachers are always quick about helping her if she needs it.
Congrats to all the girls that are accepted to the cep. I got my letter at 9:10pm that I was accepted to first choice!!!! NAU/EMCC.. Anyone else in the same boat??? Would love to know my fellow classmates
