Hello everyone,

I'm planning to take my test in July and I am doing Suzanne first plan. Is anyone out there thinking taking their test in July please come and help and share ideas..

I'm planning on taking the nclex sometime in July. This will be my second time and hopefully my last. I took a month off and now I'm ready to study again:specs: I used Kaplan last time but don't know if I want to go that route again. Thinking of using suzanne's plan this time around and Saunders 4th ed.

yes you will do fine...did you use kaplan's book and/or questions last time???...i am doing a mix of things....kaplan's qbank, saunders book, and nclex 4000 disk. saunders is a good book i used it while in school also. happy studying i am in the middle of maternity review, did half today and the other when i wake up. so what is everyone else on???

Last time I used Kaplan Complete Online. I did pretty decent on the Qtrainers and Qbank, mid 50s to mid 60s, so I don't know what happened when I took the test:banghead:. I have some friends that got around the same scores and passed though. I'm planning on studying like I've never studied for it before. Sounds like you have a good study plan;). I finished qtrainer 3 and got a 59, and q trainer 4 and got a 61. i wish i did better, but oh well. maybe next time. i think im going to do the saunders disk now. im really getting a feel for what im weak in. (pretty much everything,lol!!!)

the top 200 drugs can be found at http://www.mosbysdrugconsult.com/DrugConsult/Top_200/ or http://www.nurse.com/drughandbook/top200.html i like the second one because it gives you the most common ones by specialty also. a site that the kaplan teacher recommend was www.rxlist.com.

If you click on Suzanne's name you have a drop down box and there is an option to send pm. Click on that and then type away. Only send a pm once you have completed the first tip and make sure you include all information as requested by her

Hello All! I like everyone else has been patiently waiting for my ATT. Woke up at 2pm after working the night shift and it was finally here! Went on-line right away and the earliest date I could get was July 10th... So the big day is finally on my calendar! Graduated on May 10th so it has been a long process. I work in a small rural hospital as an LPN. I got my LPN last year and bridged the RN. Was a CNA in this hospital for 9 years before I decided to go to school at the ripe age of 47... Time is not exactly on my side(hah). Passed my LPN NCLEX the first try and I pray for the same results with the RN. Now I will study with a purpose... yeah July 10th! Good luck to everyone testing soon.

A classmate of mine took the boards and passed on the 7th of June. As a rule no one can talk about what is on the exam, but they said there was a lot of select all that apply, prioritizing, what would you do first, medication contraindications and interactions, and those types of questions.

This of course made me even more nervous because those are the types of questions I seem to do poorly with. But I have been studying every day, using Kaplan and Saunders.
