Johns Hopkins Nurse Residency 2021

Published

Hi guys! I know it's pretty early to start applying, but I'm looking for other people that are planning on applying to Johns Hopkins for their Nurse residency in 2021! I started this thread so we can follow each other throughout the process.

I don't start till August but I did go up to look around! I met with a real estate agent and a friend who showed me some of the popular areas. Canton, Federal Hill, Hampden and Fell's Point are the neighborhoods I was looking at. But definitely keep me posted!

Hi everyone! Congratulations to those who have already recieved positions! I am graduating Aug 31, 2021 and hoping it is not too late to apply! I would love to do their ICU Bridge Program.

Hey everyone! I accepted a position and hoping to move in May. I found a good spot 15-20 min away (I'm not interested in actually living in the city)

Hi everyone! I am so happy to have found this thread! I just accepted an offer today for the psych emergency department starting this October, and I would love to make some friends in the city. Looking forward to meeting y'all:)

Hi all! I’ve accepted a job in the MPCU and start next week. I’ll be moving into the city some time within the year, so if anyone on here is looking for a female roommate feel free to reach out ?

Hi! Congrats to everyone interviewing and accepting offers! I was just recently hired for the New Grad Neuro Critical Care Unit Position and am relocating to Baltimore from Louisiana. If anyone else is going to the area and looking for a potential roommate I'd love to chat. Goodluck, look forward to hopefully meeting some of you when we start!

Hi guys!

I hope everyone is doing well and congratulations to everyone that was accepted!! ? I’m currently a Hopkins nurse and I’m reaching out because I’m trying to find someone interested in taking over my lease and living with another Hopkins nurse!

The apartment I’m currently living in is called Hanover Cross Street Apartments in Federal Hill! It’s super close to Hopkins (an 11-15 minute drive, usually on the shorter end!) and the apartment itself is in a very safe area that's only a 5-10 minute walk away from a ton of places to eat and hang out in (Starbucks and Dunkin are only a few minutes walk away for my nursing peeps who run on coffee ?)! There's a lot of amenities in the apartment itself, like media/theater rooms, lounges, a pool, a clubhouse, a 24/7 open gym (so you don't need to drive to or pay for a gym membership!!), and even a dog washing station for people who have dogs!

Rent and parking are $1,113 (parking is in the building, which is super convenient when it snows/rains!) + all utilities and WiFi being ~$90 = ~$1,200/month total!

My current roommate is a MICU nurse at Hopkins and is super friendly, super smart, chill, and clean! She loves exploring Baltimore, eating out, and working out - honestly she's an awesome and sweet roommate and I'm sad that I have to go to a different place because of family.

I’m moving to a different place at the beginning of May/June, so if anyone is coming in for May/June (or the months afterward leading up to November, when the lease ends) and needs a place, let me know! ? I can send pictures and a video of the place if anyone would like!

Hey everyone!! I was wondering if there was a groupchat/facebook group for incoming Summer 2021 residency people??

Hello, question for anyone who can answer:

I interviewed yesterday for the New Grad Adult ED Float position at both the Johns Hopkins Hospital and JH Bayview Medical Center, as part of the JHH Nurse Residency Program. My status has changed  to "pending".
My question is: Did anyone else's status change to "pending" after their interview, and did you receive a job offer? And also, how long did it take you to hear back?

Thanks so much in advance for your help ?

Hello

Anyone still looking for a roommate? I start end of August

Hey! I’m in the same boat with the “pending” status post-interview, but in a different unit. Did you hear back?

Thank you!

I got all my offers hours after my interview, then l had to decide which one to go with. It took me only 5days from application to on boarding. I think you should gere back from them in 24hours. Hope this helps

Oh l forgot, my status changed to pending from when l scheduled my interview. I didn't check again after my interview until l got my offers
