Johns Hopkins Nurse Residency 2021

Published

Hi guys! I know it's pretty early to start applying, but I'm looking for other people that are planning on applying to Johns Hopkins for their Nurse residency in 2021! I started this thread so we can follow each other throughout the process.

I got all my offers hours after my interview, then l had to decide which one to go with. It took me only 5days from application to on boarding. I think you should gere back from them in 24hours. Hope this helps

Oh l forgot, my status changed to pending from when l scheduled my interview. I didn't check again after my interview until l got my offers

Thanks for letting me know! I only interviewed with one specific unit for an October start date. I didn’t even know you could interview for multiple units at the same time.

Anyone here starting in late August or accepted an offer from the Surgical IMC or Surgical PCU?

Hello everyone! I was scheduled an interview for one of their ICUs. Can anyone who had gone through the process share what questions they might be asking? Is it more behavioral or clinical? Any tips? Thank you!

Anyone still looking for a roommate? I start end of August

Hi! I just accepted an offer for the end of August as well and am looking for a roommate. Are you still looking?

Awesome!! I start August 30th. I'm actually going to find a place sometime this week.

That's when I start too! I'm moving from out of state, but I'm thinking of flying out there soon to look at places. If you're interested in discussing possibly rooming together, you can direct message me!

Sorry it actually looks like I need to have 15 posts before I can use private messaging. I just signed up today.

Hey Erica, U can text (845) 668-3478. Then l will send u my actual number . That way we can chat

Great idea. I'll text you now!

Hey! I’m in the same boat with the “pending” status post-interview, but in a different unit. Did you hear back?

Thank you!

Hey @abrow283,

I didn't end up getting that position for ED Float Pool. But I did get invited back to interview for the new grad position in the Adult Emergency Dept. the JHH Nurse Residency Program, and I am currently back in the same boat after my interview earlier this week... my status is "pending" ??

What about you?? Did you get the position on your unit? And did your status ever end up changing??

Congratulations to everyone who received interviews/positions! I was just offered a position in the New Graduate Residency on the OB/Perinatal unit, starting in November. I'm moving to Baltimore from the Chicago area and already have a roommate, but I'm hoping to connect with others who will be joining the JHH as new graduate nurses. If anyone has any recommendations about the area I'd love to know!

Congratulations, @claireRN, and to all the new grads who got offered positions! I was also offered a position at JHH yesterday, in the Adult Emergency Department and I'm excited to be part of the Nurse Residency Program with you guys!! I'm moving to Baltimore from California, and I'm really stoked to be starting at my number one choice of hospitals and specialty areas for the next 12 months. It's gonna be great!

A little scary... but also great ?
