Hi everyone!!
I recently accepted a job at JHH in the nurse residency program on the MICU and I start February 06, 2017. I wanted to reach out and see if anyone else is starting then/ or around that date? Also what units, when your taking NCLEX and how your feeling nearing the end of school?!
The hospital as a whole does new employee orientation for the first few days. Then the RN group gets split into the adult nursing side and the pediatric nursing side. From there you have departmental orientation. Once you are on your designated unit you will have an orientation period with a preceptor anywhere from 12 to 16 weeks long. At the start of each month there is a new orientation group which includes new grads.
Thank you for your advice! And I'm so glad you are loving your start there so far! How long after the interview did you hear back from them? Hope your second weeks goes great too, please keep us posted!
Hello! I'm so sorry I just saw this! So I heard back 5-8 days after my interview. I received an e-mail and was sitting in school studying, about to have a nervous breakdown getting ready for finals and it made my day! It wasn't to long after, they know pretty much right away how they feel about you and then they talk to the people you do your share time with.

did you get to choose a start date?
Hi RNGrad16, thanks for creating this page! I'm also curious to see if there is anyone else starting around this time. How was your semester? I'm definitely excited to be done! As you know, I'll be in Peds but don't start until June. I'm thinking about taking the NCLEX either this month or next. What about you?
Did you get to choose a start date?
