Hello! I'm so sorry I just saw this! So I heard back 5-8 days after my interview. I received an e-mail and was sitting in school studying, about to have a nervous breakdown getting ready for finals and it made my day! It wasn't to long after, they know pretty much right away how they feel about you and then they talk to the people you do your share time with.

Hello! So I started this Monday and just received my schedule. It is a lot. But so worth it. You hit the ground running and there is a lot to learn. I remember being in school in the first week of each semester and seeing everything we had ahead of us (all the info on the syllabus and outline and sssignments basically) and feeling so overwhelmed. Not here. There are a lot of classes and they expect a lot out of you as they should but I have never felt overwhelmed a single time. They are providing an incredible amount of support to help develope me as a new grad. Everyone is so friendly and understands how you feel as new employees. It's not about "I know more than you; I'm more experienced and your wasting my time" its a group of people that love what they do and are so excited to share their knowledge with others. I love it there, I'm exhausted and I'm about to be even more exhausted here soon, but I wouldn't trade it or go back and work anywhere else coming out of school. I'm very happy with my decision.

Hi! I would like to add my two cents if that is ok!!! I used UWORLD also, it was amazing, I also used La charity (this was the most helpful to me) and the NCSBN learning text review (The wording of these questions were incredibly similar to NCLEX :) ). GOOD LUCK!!!!! I'm so excited for you!

Hi Congrats!!! Before I interviewed in the MICU I did some practice runs with some of the faculty (nursing professors) at my school and that helped a lot! They know that as a new grad we don't have any experience so it was mainly behavioral type questions. They want to know what you value and how you would handle certain situations (a difficult patient or family member, what values are important to you) things like that. Then the share time is for you to ask staff questions about the floor, to see if you are a good fit but also if you like it. I was very nervous going in. They made me feel comfortable though. Go over some behavioral scenarios in your head and be prepared to answer things like that. Worst case scenario if you can't think of something, think about how you might handle the situation. You will do great congrats on the interview!! I start February 6th, ONE MORE WEEK! I could not be more excited, and since the MICU was my first choice I feel very blessed!

The anxiety was the worst! After taking it, it probably took 2-3 days to go away ha but now it's just awesome! You will do fine! We studyied for years for this exam you have this!!

Honestly I thought it was incredibly easy. I received my ATT on December 21, I originally scheduled the exam for January 5th. Giving myself a few weeks to study. Then I realized that I have spent the last several years preparing for this exam and if I didn't know it now then three weeks would honestly just add more stress and anticipation. So I rescheduled for the next day. Cried and vomited the entire way up there wondering how I could be so stupid to reschedule the most important exam of my life within an hour of going to bed. I got there an hour early. Went over last minute labs and isolation stuff. Then I went in and every question I got seemed easier so I was sure I was failing it. Even though I felt like I was getting them all right. It's definitely a mind (you know what). I took a deep breath before every question and repeated what an instructor told me "keep them alive, keep them breathing". It shut off at 75 I walked out and the front desk person said "congrats nurse" I smiled and then went and threw up. I did the PVT and it worked for me. My license number was active 24 hours later. I believe it is so true that the longer you wait, the harder it is. Believe that you know it. Driving up there I thought "I forgot everything. I know nothing" then when I took it, I couldn't believe how much I remembered. YOU HAVE THIS! Good luck! i forgot to say: to study I used UWORLD, NCSBN NCLEX review, and La Charity. All helped tremendously. If I had to pick one I couldn't but most helpful to least-> La charity, NCSBN/UWORLD tied 👌🏼

Hmmm it must be different for every unit, I don't remember the exact breakdown but it was slightly different. The amount was the same but when you receive it was different

Yes!absolutely! Do you remember the break down of payment when you begin for the rebate? I remember them saying they break it up into chunks but I cant remember how.

I'm also in an ATB program! I will have my associates in December and my BSN next year hopefully may but possibly December depending on how orientation goes. I first interviewed in the MICU and if that did not work out I was going to go to Neuro lol so weird... Also, my sister-in-laws sister works in the Neuro ICU downtown, she loves it!

Congratulations!!! When do you Graduate? Also when is your start date? I am Graduating December 17th, with a February 6th start date. I'll be on the MICU.
