Johns Hopkins Fall Entry Accelerated BSN (2012)

U.S.A. Maryland

Published

Hello!

I applied for the early acceptance BSN for the fall 2012 cohort. Has anyone else applied early acceptance and heard back yet? I am anxiously awaiting their decision!

Thanks!

Habitus,

Thaks. I did apply only for the ABSN and not for the ABSN-MSN.

Hello everyone! First of all a big congrats to all who were accepted for Fall 2012; those who haven't been notified, hang tight and don't get discouraged...I received my call on Fri and was thrilled- only momentarily though, as my brain went into overdrive trying to figure how to cover tuition cost. Anyone know of the best resources for grants for students? It would be wonderful to attend Hopkins however for me cost is a.Major concern...

I didn't actually expect people to start hearing so early! Haven't heard back yet... so nervous!

Hi everyone!

Congrats to those accepted! :) Anyone attending the April 20th Accepted Students Day? I'll be going and I'm looking forward to meeting some fellow students!

Hi Everybody,

Does anyone knows if the School of Nursing differs admission?

Thanks in advance!

Lema

Hey!

For those of you that heard back already, which application did you submit - nursingCAS or the Johns Hopkins one? If you submitted the nursingCAS one, when did you submit it?

I submitted my nursingCAS application on January 15th and didn't get an email from hopkins until February 8th that my application was complete. I know it takes them a while to get all of the information form nursingCAS.

Still waiting... anxiously.

tinatac I will be attending with one guest on 4/20. Thankfully I'm only 20 mins away from the school. vnmeltzer, not sure.what nursingCAS is but I submitted my app on the SON website.

NursingCAS is a centralized nursing application that is required by GW and Georgetown; however, Johns Hopkins also accepts it. I believe it might put a delay in the review process though. It's a pretty crazy application, which requires you to enter in each class you've ever taken along with the corresponding grade. Should have done the JHU online one. oh well.

tinatac and adlog, I'll be a Hopkins on 4/20, though I'll be coming from Illinois. I haven't had an opportunity to visit the SON, so I'm very excited to match the program with the all great things I've heard about it. One of the things I really want to look into is 'competitive vs cut-throat'. The former I can deal with, but the later I wish to avoid.

vnmeltzer, I used the Hopkins website for application. I did have to use NursingCAS for my application to Rush University, and it was a pain in the butt. For Rush at least I had to email and confirm that they had my application. When I interviewed I was told decsions would be made in late February and early March, so try not to freak out too much. Best of luck!

I was accepted!!!!!!!!! AHHHHHHHH!!! Just found out about 30 minutes ago via phone!
