  1. Yes, everything in the quotation marks. Search for "UTHSC Houston SON (Accelerated) Class of 2014," by inserting it in the Facebook search box AFTER you signed-in into your Facebook account.
  2. It runs from 20 May, 2013, mid-August, 2014 (ca. 15 months).
  3. I just received an email that I was accepted into the summer BSN program. The email stated that I log to MyUTH portal and accept or decline the offer of admission by Friday, March 1, 2013. I applied both for the summer and fall, 2013. I'm so happy that the waiting is finally over!
  4. Received my transcripts evaluation in the mail. Of the 60 credit hours prerequisite courses required, 50 of them are correctly evaluated. I'm left with 10 credit hours which I'm currently taking. I hope that this is a step in the right direction.
  5. Hi Kimbers2882, Yes, you are right, the incomplete is going to stay there as long as the transcript you submit indicates you are still enrolled in a class. to my understanding, it is going to stay there until we submit the very last transcript after the spring, 2013 semester. I was actually asking about the hold 9not the incomplete) just above the admission status. Since last Friday, I see an Admissions Hold. I was just wondering if any one has such an Admissions Hold.
  6. First, congratulations to those who have got acceptances and a lot of strength for those waiting for acceptance news! While patiently waiting to hear for acceptance and checking MyUTH almost on a daily basis, today I saw an Admissions Hold just above my to do list. I called both the registrar and also the School of Nursing and they told me that it is because I still have three more courses (CHEM, HIST I and HIST II) to complete. Has anyone had the same issue?
  7. Congratulations to everyone who got accepted and good luck for those eagerly awaiting for admission decision!
  8. Hi everybody, I just checked MySTAR and couldn't believe that I was admitted into the BSN Accelerated program. Good luck everyone!
  9. Tessthebest, thank you for that information. I also like that it is fall spring summer and fall, 16 months. We will be job ready 5 months in advance.
  10. Does anyone know if UTMB fall 2013 entry follows the Fall-Spring-Summer-Fall or Fall-Spring-Fall-Spring sequence?
  11. Congratulations nurse101010, I'm so happy for you that you got accepted. Your perseverance paid off!
  12. Yes, UTHSC-Houston has no interview anymore but UTMB has been interviewing both for the traditional and accelerated BSN.
  13. Hi Carlajeanx3, I first submitted my application and I immediately sent/ordered official transcripts from all colleges attended. It is better if you use the NursingCAS transcript request form since it has your NursingCAS ID so that your transcript can easily be matched to your application file. This worked perfectly for my summer, 2013 entry application as my file is already complete much earlier than the application deadline (01/03/2003). Very important is that send your official transcripts well in advance (several weeks, if not months) before the application deadline. After they received my transcripts, it took NursingCAS more than two weeks to verify my transcripts. For UTMB, TEAS scores are directly sent to the school NOT to NursingCAS. It is my hope that we will be accepted to either UTHSC-Houston or UTMB, or both!!
  14. Hi nurse 101010, I strongly encourage you to consider applying to UTMB for fall, 2013. Since you have already applied for summer 2013, there is no extra application fee charged by NursingCAS, you don't have to order another TEAS transcript and also there is no need to order for official transcript. The only thing, you need to pay for the supplemental application fee (second time). By applying for the fall 2013, there is nothing you lose. I were you, I will go ahead and apply for the traditional BSN too. Nowadays, admission to nursing schools is so competitive that I decided to apply to several schools to increase my chance of being accepted. I have even included ADN programs as a backup. Never give up, remain positive and optimistic. Good luck!
  15. Hi nurse10, it must be frustrating to have an "F" on your transcript when you did not actually receive such a grade. I hope things will work out alright this time around. Few days after I submitted my supplemental application, I received three emails with my password and user name. Since then I can access My STR and I also see the green button. Although I am very much interested n the summer entry, I am applying for both the summer and fall entry, just trying to increase my chance of being admitted. Are you also applying for the fall, 2013 entry?
