Hey! I am starting to apply for the traditional BSN/MSN program at Johns Hopkins, and I was wondering if anyone else is out there freaking out about their applications!
Holler back!
Hey Alrees - Yeah I did apply for the Accelerated BSN/MSN. I'm getting nervous too...Hopefully we'll find out this week. Good luck!
Just wanted to let you know that I applied regular decision Accelerated BSN/MSN and I got my call today! Good luck to everyone else!
I got my call at about 12pm Pacific Time (I live in CA). I applied to Accelerated BSN/MSN. I think I picked the FNP focus. I was really surprised to hear so soon...I thought end of January would mean another week or two.
Thanks for responding so quickly! Congratulations, that is extremely exciting!! I fell in love with JHU after visiting for the interview and I can't stop thinking about that acceptance call/rejection letter and when it will be coming. I applied to the Accelerated BSN/MSN with PNP focus. I had my application in by the early decision deadline although I did not sign the early decision agreement. I'm thinking that means I should hear fairly early on but I'm not sure if they notify based on when the application was submitted or the specialty applied to. Do you know? Again, congratulations!!! : )
I'm pretty sure it's based on date of application. I asked the staff during an online discussion a similar question and it sounded like the process was rolling admission which they confirmed. This is the reason why I decided to commit to early decision. Good luck guys! I felt the same anxiety just a month ago. It should be over soon since accepted students day is Feb. 27.
Hi YellowBone,
I got the same.
I knew I probably would, but the real thing is even worse than the expected. Sigh. Maybe I can start a support group for this w/ some obscure title: "Denial onset Depression" anyone care to join? :chuckle
Btw, congrats to all those who got in!!!! Yay!! Your hard work paid off!
Jane and YellowBone, I'm sorry to hear the bad news....I feel your pain, as I was rejected through the early decision process. I know that YellowBone has applied to a lot of schools (and already received at least 1 acceptance, I think), so good luck to you. And Jane, now you have to figure out where to apply and get more applications in. You can do it! And believe it or not, you will actually get excited about other programs once you start to research them.
Congrats to all who do get accepted!
