Johns Hopkins 2015 ABSN & Masters Entry

This thread is for applicants applying to Johns Hopkins, for either the ABSN or the new Master's Entry program. I've searched a few times and haven't found a thread for this year's admissions cycle, so I decided to start one.

After lots of thinking, I decided to apply to the Master's Entry instead of the ABSN. Anyone else out there applying?

Hope who ever is still waiting gets to take my spot, I have decided to stay close to home!!

Hi all - trying to decide between GW and Hopkins ABSN. Does anyone have any insights, or do we have any Hopkins ABSN grads on here? Would love to talk to someone about their experience!

Hey I applied to both and got into both but I turned down GW because the location of nursing campus is in northern Virginia. There nclex pass rate decreased lately. Hopkins has a bigger cohort and GW is around 60 or 70. Nationally Hopkins is more well regarded. However GW is cheaper. As for university hospital, Hopkins is internationally regarded but I'm not sure about GW. If I were to choose, I would go to Hopkins

Agreed - it's much further out in VA than I'd like! I'm in DC now and would like to stay, but the commute is super intense. Leaning Hopkins..

Looks like you can type in "Johns Hopkins University School of Nursing Class of 2016 Summer Entry" and it's that group

Out here even in California everyone has heard of Hopkins and regarded as very or even most prestigious in nursing, but GW isn't as well known. However I'm considering going to a state school because of clinical rotations in top socal hospitals

I really hope so. I got into an CNL program and I'd like to make a decision very soon! Di you guys hear the new about the lawsuit against JH? any thoughts about that? I wonder if is going to affect their funding and/or prestige?
