Jobless Adn~ Rn?

In this day and age of nursing shortage especially in the melting pot of New York City why on earth are none of these hospital seeking ADN- RN to help fill their nursing shortage staffing? Please offer your opinions or advice even frustration!! :idea:Desperately seeking RN position!:icon_roll

I want to work at Metropolitan. I have an ADN, non-nursing BA and MA, and am bilingual. What are my odds of being hired right away when I move to Manhattan in August?

After reading these posts, Im even more down that I was before, if thats even possible lol. I graduated in May, boards in Aug and still no job. I have had only ONE call back in Sept. Ive applied to all the hospitals mentioned and many,many more,maimo was my # 1 choice and no callbacks? WHAT COULD I BE DOING WRONG??? Any advice?

i am looking here http://nyp.org/careers/car_eve/index.html and i don't see any open house type events for nursing. i got excited for a second there because i was going to be in philly on the 27th (i thought to drop in)... where did you see the RN open house info?

I am in the same boat as you - graduated May 2008 with an ADN, NCLEX in August and only had 1 interview so far. I have send my resume pretty much everywhere and nothing.. It is very frustrating!
