JJC Nursing Program: Fall of 2015

Hi, ya'll! I just thought I would try to connect with any other hopefuls that are going to attempt to be accepted into JJC's Nursing program for Fall of 2015. Was curious as to how you are all feeling about your possibility of being accepted. (I.e teas score, pre-reqs, gpa, etc.)

Hope to meet some new friends to share this journey with! Any other "seasoned" nursing students that read this, care to shed some light on what I should be preparing myself for?

I still haven't received a call back regarding the whole active license thing for CNA.

Thanks for the info on science scores! I ran into Paul yesterday while I was studying and he said they are reviewing the last few essays. He said "I told them I put my foot down, and the emails are going to go out next Friday" (April 10)...so those of you waiting- Only one more week!

Also, I would definitely wait to hear back about the CNA thing because they are always changing stuff, but last semester a girl in our class had an expired CNA license and she did not have to take 140. You don't have to be a CNA, but they are looking that you have the CNA training that you would have gotten when you took your CNA class. However, I agree that it is a helpful refresher in the clinical aspect. I took it, and the workload was easy compared to the other classes (definitions, hands-on skills for taking a manual BP, accucheck, give a bed bath, etc.)... but it does add an extra class in your schedule in which you have to be at school longer, and extra homework. The BRIGHT side though (yay! lol) is that Nursing 140 ends in the beginning of October while your other classes go through December. So once that's over, you feel a huge weight off your shoulders, and you really do learn a lot in a short period of time.

I also applied for JJC's nursing program for Fall 2015 and I simply CAN NOT SLEEP! I came across this in my desperate need for some answers, I've read every single comment! So a million thank yous for all the information everyone has shared! I'm rooting for all of us!! Only hours until we get the answers we've all been waiting for!

Do you guys have any idea what time frame you are looking at? Or is it just a generic by end of day type of thing?
