Hi, ya'll! I just thought I would try to connect with any other hopefuls that are going to attempt to be accepted into JJC's Nursing program for Fall of 2015. Was curious as to how you are all feeling about your possibility of being accepted. (I.e teas score, pre-reqs, gpa, etc.)
Hope to meet some new friends to share this journey with! Any other "seasoned" nursing students that read this, care to shed some light on what I should be preparing myself for?
I got my email! I'm an "alternate", so if someone drops, I will be receiving a call. I'm not too sure what "number" alternative I am, or how many they have. Does anyone know any information about this?
I am so sorry, but I don't know anything regarding alternates. However, they are really nice in the department, I am sure they would tell you how many alternates there are if you called. I will be keeping my fingers crossed for you!
Congrats all! I was accepted into the day program as well!
I have a few questions though lol if any of you know. So in the letter it says that on Registration day we will be assigned either session 1 or session 2 the day of. However, on the session flyer attachment it says we need to register for one of the sessions. So I was a little confused on that. I'm sure more information will come though.
& another question. What is group registration like? It says in the letter it is a different process than normal classes, so I was just curious as to what to expect. Like is there any way I can prepare? I know I always used rate my professor before and it's saved me, but I don't even know if that is a possibility this time around.
Any information is appreciated!! & good luck to all of you that have yet to hear from the nursing department.

Congratulations on your acceptance! I don't know much about registration, but plan on making a phone call tomorrow if nobody else has any information.
LOL Thank you!
I went ahead and just called over there since I have quite a busy day tomorrow. I was told we are basically just given a sheet to fill out and then bring over to registration. We don't select any of our classes, teachers, etc we are just placed. We don't have to pay for anything the day of registration unless we decide to purchase the uniforms, stethoscopes, penlights, etc right then and there. However, we can go to the store in Frankfort or Joliet at a later date to purchase the uniforms as well. All we really need to bring is our Id, cash credit or check if planning to make a purchase, and an optional paper and pen to take notes. I was also told we will have until July 15th to pay for our classes for first semester, just in case anyone needs to plan out finances for that purpose.
I'm in the night program, so I forgot to even ask about registering for session one or two. I'm sorry!
It's becoming so real now! I am so excited for everyone! :)
