Hello everyone I just wanted to start a post for the spring/summer applicants of 2017. Hopefully the spring applicants can give us summer applicants some insight as to what we should expect and any helpful tips. Also please post which campus you will be applying to/1st and 2nd choice, teas test tips, and the points you will be applying with good luck to everyone.

Hi! I have "creeped" on these "hopeful" boards forever and I can't believe it's almost our turn. I plan to apply for summer at the Shelby campus. I have heard that is the hardest semester to start because they are trying to fit 4 months of school into 2 1/2 months so it makes me nervous but, well, that's my timeline to apply for the first time!

I am at Jefferson Campus and we started first semester clinical the first month. Started with baths. May it has changed since January I am not sure. I would just go and talk to them. Just to be safe.

Lol you are not alone I have semi stalked the hopeful posts for awhile. I saw where there wasn't a post for the 2017 cohorts so I figured since we were a little closer to applying we deserved our own hopeful board lol... I will also be applying for the summer semester at the jefferson campus as my first choice and shelby as my second

Oh my word. I just went on the Jeff State site and in all caps in red it said on the Nursing Education page "ATTN: THERE IS NO SUMMER ADMISSION FOR SUMMER 2017 AT THE JEFFERSON AND SHELBY/HOOVER CAMPUSES" Y'all, I'm just shaking... Does anyone know about this??

Hello, I just checked out the website and can confirm the same. I am literally shaking myself. Although, I went ahead and applied for Spring 2017..if I am not accepted, I had planned on the following term. Wowsers. I wonder why the sudden change as I just was up that way this week.

I've been stalking the threads as well and thought I would just go ahead and join so I could post. I have applied for the Spring 2017 program with Shelby campus as my 1st choice. I am hoping they let us know at least by Thanksgiving!

Hi there,

I joined recently to do the same. I have always wish it was more activity in this AL thread. I was told by the advisor that we will find out the first week of Nov. Hopefully that still stands. Fingers crossed.

Wow no I didnt know about this until today but originally I wanted to go to lawson except they only admitted in fall semester. I guess now ill have my chance.

I also applied for Spring 2017 at the Shelby Campus. The adviser said we would most likely know if we got accepted the first part of November! Has anyone heard differently?

Hi Sarah, I have heard mixed things. I have also heard 1st week of Nov, and I heard yesterday in class that it may be Thanksgiving before we know anything. Hopefully sooner than later!

Also, does anyone know if there has been a Jeff State Spring 2017 Facebook page started for spring starters?
