Jefferson state spring/summer 2017

Published

Hello everyone I just wanted to start a post for the spring/summer applicants of 2017. Hopefully the spring applicants can give us summer applicants some insight as to what we should expect and any helpful tips. Also please post which campus you will be applying to/1st and 2nd choice, teas test tips, and the points you will be applying with good luck to everyone.

I searched to see if there was a facebook page started but didn't see one

Hopefully we hear sooner than later!! It is going to be a long few weeks of waiting, but I hope we all get in! Also, I have not seen a Facebook page for Spring 2017 starters.

I applied in September for Spring 2017 and from Georgia too. Good luck everyone. I was told we would find out at the end of this month. So hopefully this is our week!!!

I applied with 190 points. Jefferson 1st choice. The wait is agony! 😅 Best of luck to everyone. Hopeful we find out soon!

The wait surely is agonizing since October has just flown by in my opinion. But I am also very nervous. Nervous about getting accepted (everyone says the program is rigorous) and nervous about not getting in.

1. Does anyone know if the rigorousness is due to professors? volume of work? and/or person's taking co-requisites while in the nursing program versus only nurse courses?

2. Has anyone heard if the curricular changes will affect this Spring 2017 cohort? I ask because the old curriculum consists of 5 more credit hours than the new proposed curricula for Fall 2017?

Please post whenever you get your acceptance email so we know when they are going out! The wait is so hard!

Do you know if they are sending them to our personal email or school email?

I want to say personal email...I think that's what they used last semester. It should be whatever email you put down on your nursing application.

This wait is killing me! lol They need to hurry up! lol Has anyone called to get a definite time of when notifications would be sent?

I called twice this week but could not get in touch with anyone that knew anything!

I turned in my application literally a day before deadline, October 5. I was told by the pre-nursing advisor that notices would go out the first week of November, which would be next week. I have been nervous and stoked on even the possibility of getting into the program; however, I may have an employment opportunity available. Torn on what to do and do not have a spouse, partner, or sponsor somewhere that could offset the financials involved since the campus is about 30 miles out from where I reside. Oh but I must get accepted first…no cart before horse here… (sigh)

Well hearing from them this week is great.
