Jefferson state spring/summer 2017

Published

Hello everyone I just wanted to start a post for the spring/summer applicants of 2017. Hopefully the spring applicants can give us summer applicants some insight as to what we should expect and any helpful tips. Also please post which campus you will be applying to/1st and 2nd choice, teas test tips, and the points you will be applying with good luck to everyone.

Yes I just found you do start clinicals the first semester. I was going to talk to an advisor this week about pregnancy and nursing school because I was worried about clinicals, but sadly God took his unborn angel home this morning.

I'm sorry about your loss

I am so sorry, Asuttle.

Asuttle, sorry for your loss. wish you goodluck

Thank you guys..I'm so anxious to get our letters! I wish all of you good luck!!

I am so anxious too! I'm not sure if you know this or not but they will send acceptance emails and the rejections come in the mail. Towards the end of October I will be checking my email like every 5 minutes lol

OMG I am super nervous because I feel like I have to get in now... so excited, nervous and ready. Do you live by Jeff or shelby campus

I live in the brompton area so I'm closer to the jeff campus but not by much. What about you?

Question- I am currently enrolled at Wallace State and just yesterday recieved a call stating my application into their program is incomplete due to them not getting one of my transcripts. At Wallace you are required to take act, not the teas, so this test is very new to me. According to the ATI website, I have two options regarding the teas test if I want to apply for Spring at Jeff State..I could take it one day past the deadline (Oct 6th), or take it at Wallace on Tues (Oct 4th). My question is this, what are the chances of my application still being considered with me taking it one day past the deadline, and in reference to my second option...how long would it take for my score to go from Wallace to Jeff State? Should I even bother, and just wait it out until Summer? Any input would be greatly appreciated!

From what I've read on previous post and the jeff state website, your application must be complete by oct. 6 to be considered. That means transcripts, personal info, and teas test scores must be recieved by 4:30 on the 6th. As far as how long it takes for them to recieve the scores im not quiet sure about that. Not sure if they're offering it but you check to see if jeff state is offering the teas on their campus before the deadline if you haven't already done so. That way you wouldn't have to worry about the time it takes for them to recieve results.

Side note as my h as I would have like to apply to the spring program, ill be applying to the summer program because i just didnt want to rush everything(teas) while in school and risk the A's I have in my pre-courses

I am actually in Georgia and will be moving in a few months. I called but didn't get to speak to any one. I think I will have to drive down there to turn in another application tomorrow.
