Jeff State Fall 2010 hopefuls...

I will go ahead and start this post for people applying to Jeff State Nursing Program Fall 2010. I know there are people out there with questions...I know I have a ton myself...I guess we can start with the amounts of points people are applying with with what classes??This should give us an idea of maybe where the cutoff will be...it was like 186 for Summer 2010!

I am attending another college for Nursing. But I just finished taking Micro at Lawson and to my understanding Jeff State and Lawson are using some of the same Nursing Books. Don't know if this helps but just thought you may want to know.;)

They are late with everything thus far...my money says its like a week before that we have access to our books...

FWIW, I was in the bookstore at the Shelby/Hoover campus Thurs. 8/5/10 and there were lots of boxes in the nursing books aisle waiting to be unpacked.

everyone should have gotten the e-mail that said Aug. 16 would be the earliest you can get books...btw...I think that 2 of our 3 classes have stuff already posted that you can look at on blackboard...

hey just to let everyone know i ordered my books online directly from that elsevier publishing and it was cheaper than the price list that they gave us at orientation....60 or 70 dollars to be exact

also as for the stuff already posted on blackboard....what is it?... i can't get mine yet because the idiots in financial aid have mine all messed up and my tuition still isnt taken care of so it shows me as not registered

seems like i ask more on here than i do of the admin at the college....maybe because i get answers here....by chance has anyone who is on fin aid's tuition already been taking care of?

A friend and classmate discovered that barnes and noble has our exact books available to order for around $500...no e-books...but all physical texts...I dont know anything about the fin. aid though...sorry!

F.A. is not paid until the 1st week of school and the blackboard stuff I wouldnt worry about it unless You get an e mail about it or it says it is for you meaning fall term last term they left it open and we saw it and some people printed out the mods and it was all wrong it was for the last term and you might not be able to get to it bcuz it was a mistake for it to be up 2nd term had stuff up yesterday and they took it down oh and they like to put up new term stuff the day b4 class starts but they most likely will send an email to you first

I haven't been to the bookstore because I bought my books earlier from a friend. Have they not come in yet? Also, my blackboard came up briefly a week or two ago and I'm on FA, but it was summer semesters work - not ours. Has anyone, finished their calculations packet and gotten everything ordered? I'm just wondering if I am behind anywhere. I'm starting to feel like I am, but maybe that is just from lack of info. I have everything done but my fees for the first day of class and ABON printed and signed. By the way, where do we sign??? Sorry for all the questions, just feeling lost.

I might be wrong, but I think we have to print and save a copy of the ABON rules and regs...I think that what they meant by signing it is an agreement on the paper where you had to initial so many times. I think that was it but I could easily be wrong...

is the ABON the background check?...if so then i think they said that the ywould let us know about it the first day because we had to have it before clinicals....ANd by the way what is this calculations package everyone has been talking about and is it mandatory
