I will go ahead and start this post for people applying to Jeff State Nursing Program Fall 2010. I know there are people out there with questions...I know I have a ton myself...I guess we can start with the amounts of points people are applying with with what classes??This should give us an idea of maybe where the cutoff will be...it was like 186 for Summer 2010!
Does anyone know where the night/weekend classes are held? I have a friend who graduated from the program 2 years ago and she said they were held at St. Vincents, none were held on campus. Is that still how it works?
I am new to this page, and I will be in the night/weekend classes. I just wanted to state that the classes are at both the Shelby and Jefferson campus. For an example the Fall 2009 first two semesters was at the Shelby campus and now they are at the Jefferson campus.
I am excited about today and can not wait to get started.

I am SOOOOO glad they changed that for our group!! I did NOT want to go to the Jefferson campus. How do you feel now that we have been to the meeting? I feel so much better now. :)
me too - MUCH better. I am working my way through the math package - several pages into it, not bad at ALL. WOO HOO. Hate that books are delayed...ARGGGGHHH but now I can breathe and concentrate on finishing the class I am in this summer!! If books were available now I would probably have bought them, and would be looking at them when I should be studying for anatomy 2 final! Note to self: Have GOT TO LET THE FALL SEMESTER GO UNTIL I FINISH THIS ONE!!!!!!

What math package? To be honest I haven't seen ANY of the books for the fall term. The only thing I have done is to purchase a drug calculations book and I have been working in that book to get ready for fall term. I am ready to get my hands on the books for the fall semester. I am not taking summer classes so I have lots of time to dig through the books. I really hope they come in soon.
the math package im talking about is just the stapled packet that we got in our orientation packet - it has a take home quiz that will not be graded, just some problems for us to try when we have time. it's kind of fun. im about halfway through - it's not hard, just basic formulas and conversions.
@ April, I have already bought my books from a friend and I don't know about spending another 500$ for e. I really think it will be helpful; however, I have 2 kids to get in school as well and just can't afford it. Can you still sign in and have the benefits of the blog and friends on there?
@ girl_dna, I started looking through the calculations package as well and I am so glad that I took Algebra as one of my last classes - it is still pretty fresh on my mind. Are you doing better with thier formulas or ratios and proportions? Also, NOW would be a good time to start going back over your medical words in the back of your Anatomy book and refresh on those for the medical terminology.
Dana I can certainly understand I have a kid myself and I have to get school supplies and etc for her plus everything I need to get. I think it would be very helpful as well. I'm not sure if you can just sign on just for the blog and friends. I haven't tried to figure out how the site works I'm gon probably play around with it later.
