Hi,quick question! My last instructor just emailed me about a possible position at Baptist Health as a Graduate Nurse with the assurance I have my license before the start date in Aug. I am excited at the idea of not going into LTC as my first job. Can anyone with insight on this program, please tell me all there is to know experience there, pros, cons, etc. I'm new o allnurses and haven't been getting much feedback on here, please guys I don't bite lol. Thanks!
I was under that same impression morgangreen. I interviewed for the residency program, however I am not selected for that. I wonder if they found out I am married to someone in the military and didn't want to risk the chance of me leaving soon. It's sad if that is the reason, but I am grateful for a job at all! I will not be choosy lol and not having a contract works better for me in the long run. Please post when you all hear something! I may see some of you!
Hi Budra3,
This particular interview session was actually a vast departure from a "traditional" interview, so it's hard to say. For our interview, it was set up similar to speed dating. We only had a few minutes to answer questions with the nurse manager of the 2 units we were interested in, then 2 peers that were, I believe, nurse navigators. If we made it to the next round, we then met two other nurse administrators in another room at different times.
All of the questions were behavioral. What helped me is searching "difficult interview questions" and making notes as to how to answer them. A few of the exact same questions did pop up during my interview. My assumption is that the format for interviewing is pretty standard throughout the agency, so that may help you as well.
Good luck! I'm so thrilled to be working for Baptist. I have a great friend there who LOVES working there.

Recruiters just called me and offered a position which I accepted. However, it's not with the residency program. I'll go through a normal orientation and have no contract to sign. Not what I was expecting, but thankful for a job no less.
