  1. I remember the GN program being set up like that last year, it totally freaked me out and I was so nervous in my interview. Glad you got a job! I would be thrilled to work for such a great hospital.
  2. How was the interview process if you don't mind me asking? I interviewed for the GN program last year and did not get in, however I have an interview soon for a floor position(Not GN program). Thanks!
  3. I recentley got hired with PSA (new nurse). they do offer in home orientation with a skilled nurse who knows the case. plus they offer office skills training and certain hospital training when they have specific clients that require special care. They give you as much orientation as you need to feel ready on your own plus they start you off on easy pts with reliable outcomes. Im excited to start working!
  4. I am starting in PDN in 2 weeks and your post is so inspiring! I like how you can have other team members around, I will not have that cushion to help me so im a little nervous. What state is this facility in if you dont mind me asking?
  5. yeah I would think so. If you have not done the assessment center yet its pretty laid back but they do have you do cpr on adult/infant and change a mickey g-tube which they show you how to do them before you begin.
  6. which hospital are you referring too for the Florida new GN positions, I really want to get into something like that!
  7. Thanks! Apply online then they asked me to an assessment center, group interview. very relaxed interview, nice people in the office. What do you know about the company?
  8. I will be starting with a company called PSA, my first job as a new RN by the way. anyone have experience with this company? So far I have seen mixed reveiws but I have had an overall pleasent experience so far. I was curious how the prn worked, I want to get close to full time.
  9. a suite is always the go to, cant go wrong with it.. I have two interviews over the next two days planning to wear black pants, low black heels( I hate heels!), navy blue mid long sleeve with a black blazer. hair up and back, wedding ring and diamond ear rings. light makeup ofcourse
  10. what a good laugh.. Your awsome! I want an update if they call you.
  11. If you can get through RN school you can prob do two jobs, depending on how many hours per week i would think
  12. has anyone started a thread for our class yet? i dont know how to work this site yet
  13. i got in!!!! to the daytime program, yayyy, i didnt even do my cpr becouse i had a son and didnt have time to take the class. i didnt even think i had a chance without my cpr cert. i cant beleive i actually got in!!
  14. I called North campus, they said you have until October 15 to turn in your CPR Cert. but the application is still due October 1. I may apply i just learned today that you need to be CPR certified, plus im being induced on October 2, so not sure if i will even have time to get certified!! so fustrated with FSCJ right now. Also I only have 186 points, do you think that would be enough?
