January CEP applicants?

U.S.A. Arizona

Published

Hi fellow students! I am applying to the CEP program for the Summer 2016 start (NAU)- I know the deadline is coming up January 30... just wondering who else is applying/has applied, and how you're feeling? Excited to start? Nervous you won't get accepted (like ME!)? Just wanted to say "hi" and get connected!

Take a look at the NAU course of study info that is posted on the Maricopa Nursing site. NUR321 and NUR330 would be done over the summer only if you were doing the fast track option. NUR330 is the only course you would need to take over the summer if you were taking the traditional course of study via the CEP. NUR321 is scheduled for the spring semester and NUR307 with the lab is scheduled for the upcoming fall semester. I am only basing this off of the 17 page pdf, page 7 in particular.

look at page 6

ohh not cool. They recently updated the pdf

Hmm, still something seems odd as its now going to 5 semesters from 7 previously shown. I hate being in the dark trying to plan school that starts this summer.

The revised course plan you posted cc02, seems to be faster than the fast track option.

I was wondering what you were talking about. This is the only one I've ever seen.

This is the page I was referring to. It was page 7 of 17 of the CEP NAU brochure. Must be an old version then. :(

The main one that they are listing now is considered the "fast track" option - so that you graduate with your BA at the same time as your associates. I think both options are still available. Maybe they just prefer the fast track? Not sure.

Oh, I see. I thought you couldnt do fast track with CEP. Isnt that what everybody says? I would like to do it that way, if I can. Should I call an NAU advisor or my GCC advisor?

NAU offers an "accelerated" version. It isn't fast track like the Gateway program that is complete in 14 months (or is it 16..)... It is the only of the university programs that allows you to finish the BA in the same semester that you complete the ADN.

I don't think it is something you have to talk to an advisor about yet. I imagine it'll be part of the information given at the orientation.

But the orientation is listed in the acceptence letter is sometime in july. Doesn't summer semester start in may?

Lol. Well that's true!

I think that's maricopa's orientation. Bc when I talked to the nursing director for Gcc yesterday she said "ok see you in July" and I was confused but I think she means for their orientation. I like that everything is pretty much a guessing game lol

the mandatory nau orientation is in March per my Gcc email
