January 2014 Broward College

Published

Welcome.... This is a thread created for January 2014 Broward College students and others who are interested in there ADN program. We all have so many questions and concerns about the program.

We are 7-8 months away from sitting in the first class of the January 2014 nursing program. What have you been doing to prepare for this? What pre-req's do you have left to take? What inspired you to become a nurse? Is BC your first school of chose? Are there any other programs your interested in?

Don't be shy. Don't lurk. Share your thoughts.

We only have to turn in the forms for submission right? Not the portfolio?

When I turned in my documents to central they just took my documents not the whole portfolio, not sure if its different for north and south

oh ok, im going to central too. Thanks

The portfolio is what you'll be showing your clinical professors every rotation. They will check to see that all of your documents are still up to date. Otherwise you cannot continue clinicals. :)

I'm at NORTH campus and it doesn't state to open the fingerprint envelop. ONLY to submit the receipt, a copy and the original. They repeated it SEVERAL times at pre-adm NOT to open the envelop. They're sealed for a reason. Below is a copy of the email from North campus.

Hello Ladies,

I did the online TB/OSHA/HEP course at Broward College and when I finished my assessment test, it says that I will get my certificate in 2 weeks! Has anyone gotten their certificate before the 2 weeks?

I got mine within a week
