Welcome.... This is a thread created for January 2014 Broward College students and others who are interested in there ADN program. We all have so many questions and concerns about the program.
We are 7-8 months away from sitting in the first class of the January 2014 nursing program. What have you been doing to prepare for this? What pre-req's do you have left to take? What inspired you to become a nurse? Is BC your first school of chose? Are there any other programs your interested in?
Don't be shy. Don't lurk. Share your thoughts.
Who received a status of, Accepted With Success Plan? Now that I am putting 2 & 2 together, I 'think' those who received that status are being separated from the bunch who only got Accepted; and they might have a particular campus just for that type...IJS. Be prepared. At this point I really don't care where I go...I just want to do well and pass.
I only have accepted. Got emails from north and central

I told you so...This is discrimination! As long as I get a registration code I don't care where I go. Like CM said we got accepted into BC's nursing program not the campuses. God is able and I am not worrying at all.[/quote']I have accepted with success plan but I have a 3.4 gpa and 89% on hesi why???!
They should be considerate of other peoples situation. They recommend that you don't work while in the program, the Nursing dept are never consistent with what they say or do. Accepted with success plan is basically creating a roadmap to failure. Why do I say that? If someone lives an hour away from a particular campus and clinicals begin at 6/6:30am; and those who are single parents that need to place their child in daycare, which some open at 6 or 7am. That would cause those to be late and kicked out the program. I don't have a mother, father and/or family who I can turn to for help. Although I am grateful that I got accepted and whatever campus I end up so be it, but realistically its bothering me. I don't care which campus is easy or hard, I just need to balance out my situation with my child.

I didn't get a message yet! I really don't want to go to south! I want central which is closer to my house!
