Jamaica Hospital Queens

I was wondering if anyone knew what the hiring process was like for Jamaica Hospital? I had an interview there a couple of weeks ago. What would be the next step if I do get a call back? Is there an exam I have to take? What is Orientation like? I would appreciate any information.

=)

I had an interview at Jamaica too. Haven't heard back yet. Will update

I interviewed in December and heard back in January, but I think this specific position was high need which was why I heard back so quickly. Good luck guys!

Hey !

I interviewed for Jamaica Hospital. They did my references at the end of the interview(well I filled out the paperwork) then I got a callback in 2 days. After that they take about 2 weeks to schedule your pre employment physical and request paperwork. They take a long time! I ended up declining the offer...salary was OK...but the environment was iffy

If you don't mind me asking, what was the salary? And what position did you interview for? Thanks for the information! :cat:

Sure! It was about 82k, including nights/BSN differential. I interviewed for a Med/Surg unit

Had an interview with Jamaica this week. Haven't heard back yet. Will update.

Received an offer. The base is 74 something a year.

Good for you!! What department? Are you going to take it?

A medsurg position. Ft nights. Will not be taking it. Seems like a Good floor to learn but everyone there seems a bit disorganized and I'm not so sure about safety around the hospital.

There is a parking lot for staff at the hospital, discounted, not expensive.

Hello:

I have an interview at Jamaica Hospital next week. Can anyone tell me what the base pay is and what is like to work there.
