  1. I applied 55 times before i got 3 different interviews with them...I checked every night and applied to every job that was open...good luck
  2. Yeah that sounds about right...I start on Feb 8, so I don't know exact details yet...I'm sorry I couldn't help u with that question. Overall LIJ has great pay, excellent educational reimbursement and great benefits.
  3. Yes! Day shift New grad w/ BSN. The salary shouldn't vary depending on the facility unless it's a clinic or doctors office (probably).
  4. I'm day shift...it's about 83k. Not sure about the differential though. I believe the fellowship you start off making a little less
  5. Thank you so much for the info! I start Feb 8 and I am nervous. Thanks again! novice nurse :)
  6. Sure! It was about 82k, including nights/BSN differential. I interviewed for a Med/Surg unit
  7. Hey ! I interviewed for Jamaica Hospital. They did my references at the end of the interview(well I filled out the paperwork) then I got a callback in 2 days. After that they take about 2 weeks to schedule your pre employment physical and request paperwork. They take a long time! I ended up declining the offer...salary was OK...but the environment was iffy
  8. Thank you! Sounds like a great stepping stone!
  9. Hi all! Need some background info I graduated in Aug 2015...had many offers but I chose to work in the CDU in a busy ER. The interview went well and common patients were mentioned but of course I would love any comments/feedback... (observational/23-hour/CDU, all interchangeable here! thanks ! edit: I guess I'm just asking 1. What are the common duties for a Rn in the CDU setting? 2. Any experiences in this unit? (things of that nature ^^^)
  10. The program is decent (recent grad). It's very fast paced...I suggest you study daily. Any specific questions?
  11. I just had an interview today, tuition is 80%
  12. I am willing to answer questions/help, I graduated from the PATH program this past August
  13. Hey there! Has anyone have any experience with going through the hiring process/orientation at Jamaica hospital? Can't find any info on that specific HHC...comments would be greatly appreciated... specifically... how long did it take? type of orientation? nurse:new hire ratio any other comments...?
  14. Hi, I graduated from the program in August. I will be glad to answer any questions
  15. Thanks! Keep up the good work!
