I'm glad my neighbors were out while I was checking my mail...it kept me from throwing a fit/bursting in tears..... :bluecry1: AAAARRRRGGGGG!!!!!!

The mailman just came. I got zippo, nadda, nuttin, zero, zilch:no:
I looked through it all three times before I believed it.
Whatever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:anbd:

I did the same thing! We had about 3 magazines and I was shaking them upside down! lol! I even went back out to the mailbox to make sure nothing was there!What are they DOING TO US??????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Is anyone currently or have taken APHY 201? That class is kicking my butt! We have not yet taken a test or had any real assignments worth anything yet but I am worried. I feel totally lost during lecture and lab both and the whole physio x lab on the computer is not clicking in my head. I am so bummed that I am having so much trouble any suggestions that might help me make it through the course with at least a C? I am a great student with a 4.0 and want to do well but at this point a C is my goal. I am also taking at this time Micro and an IVY 101 class, as long as I complete these classes all co-reqs will be done! Thanks in advance for any suggestions!:bowingpur:deadhorse(that is so wrong? dead horse who would think of that)

Last semester, I took 201 and Micro together. OMG talk about Hell. I barely scraped by with a C in each. My instructor for 201 was difficult but I learned a lot from her.

Honestly, 201 will hwlp you TONS when you get into the nursing program and start learning about pathophysiology. Micro will help when you get into Pharm and start learning drug actions, etc. Try and get as much out of these two classes as you can.

I have the same trouble with most lecture classes. I take notes and pay attention but can't retain the info and apply it to my studies.

I have found a WONDERFUL tool. I hope you give it a try, it's made a world of difference for me.

Buy a digital recorder (do not buy a micro recorder. I know they are cheaper, but trust me the digital is well worth the cash)

Record each lecture. Go through the recording later while following your notes. Stop and fill in relevant information or clear up anything you need to by looking through the book or defining unknown words. I get several pages of notes neatly written and then I go through those notes and make flash cards or condense the info to study form.

I'm pretty sure this means "beating a dead horse"... you know, "sorry to beat a dead horse... but..." I find that emote pretty funny and ironic for this thread! LOL.

I got my FA refund today too. Woot!!

We had our first clinical day today. It was loooooooooong but very informative. I like the hospital I am at so far and everyone seemed really nice.

And now you all probably won't see me until December 20th! LOL

Where are you having your clinicals at? We are at a nursing home in Columbus. I had my first day on Tuesday. It was crazy.
