Ivy Tech Thread

I beefed up my summer course load and plan to take MAT 118, COM 102, and IVY 104, all online. Anyone else taking these?

Ilovemywife, I was reading that thread too. I had to unsubscribe because I decided I can't let other people determine how I'm going to feel about my future profession. Yes, I'm sure there are a lot of nurses out there who hate their jobs but there are also a lot that don't. Maybe they just haven't found the right area for them. From the way your post sounds, it seems like you have made up your mind on not going into nursing. Nursing school is hard and requires every ounce of effort you have. If I was having that much doubt, I don't think I'd pursue school, but I am not the one to make that decision.

it seems like the time is flying now :tinkbll:! i am just so ready to read the letters.but i am also ready to have my financial aid refund too. it is posted that the refunds were sent out sept 22 :coollook:.i need something to distract me right now from these letters. never mind the fact that i am in school full time right now, lol :typing.i guess that is not enough!!!!:rolleyes:

We could actually know as early as Wednesday! I know here in town it only takes one day for a local letter to get to its destination. I realize that is very optimistic, but I've been patient..........It's time to start freaking out.

I'm going to be screaming in the street when I get that letter!

(or hysterically crying if I don't get in) I've already warned my neighbors, "if you see me going crazy, you know why.":rotfl:

you are right, we have been very patient for long enough! i want my letter! maybe i should warn my neighbors too, lol!!! good luck!

i had to work until 7pm tonight....when i got home, i checked the mail but my husband had already gotten it. i was like...show me the mail!! he said it was all junk, i said- are you sure? i almost went through the trash.... :no:

I am taking ANP 101 right now and really like it. Really, I truly do. We had our first test on Tuesday over two chapters and I studied my tail off. I knew that stuff frontwards and backwards. When he handed the test out I thought OH NO!

Didnt think I missed more than four or five at the most. Turns out I got an 89. Dannggg it. I am already discouraged about this class. We alll know you have to have an A. Getting an 89 on the first test does not accomplish that.

Should I get out while I am ahead and retake it next semester? Can I still pull it out and get an A?

Sorry this is so long but to this point I have had straight A's. I am really stressin.

I got an 86 and still have an A in the class :) I got an A on my lab test. You can do it! Just figure it out to see how many points you can miss for the semester to still pull an A in the class. I am assuming you aren't at Lawrence since your first test was last Tuesday?

Funny, I got home from school yesterday and my husband popped his head out of the house. I yelled "did you get the mail" he said, "Yes, don't worry you didn't get anything." :eek:

I don't want to hear that from him, I want to see myself.:madface:

I told him he was not allowed to get the mail until after I get my letter!:smiley_ab

I doubt he will listen, but he better not OPEN ANYTHING from Ivy Tech!
