Ivy Tech Thread

I beefed up my summer course load and plan to take MAT 118, COM 102, and IVY 104, all online. Anyone else taking these?

I guess it would be a good way for them to get feedback on how the program is and how the students are dealing. LOL

Melissa, how far along are you in prereqs?

colt....how's the quitting smoking coming along? Did you kick it yet?

Well....I'm just full of questions for everyone today. LOL I just left the gym a little bit ago and I have some leftover energy. Sitting here isn't easy for me right now.

I just started back to school. Over the summer I finished COM 102, MAT 118, and the Ivy class. This semester I am taking ANP 101 and ENG 111, because even though I have a B in comp from a former degree I fear I need and A. Spring I plan to take ANP 102 and med term, probably. Our son is only 1 and a half and I've been working nights as a social worker to stay home with him. In 2009 I guess I'll take Micro and Advanced Phys and I guess start NSG Fall 2010 if I get in? I'd like to start sooner but I don't want to rush it and I don't know when Owen will be ready for preschool/daycare. I could probably apply in Fall 2009 but that seems so close and it's a bit overwhelming. I have no choice but to work full time during the program so I guess there's no reason to kill myself any earlier than I have to! :)

Sounds like you've got it planned out! A suggestion: Are you planning on taking Micro and Advanced Physio together?

It's not all together impossible to get good grades in both, but I took them together and wish I would have split them up. They are both very intensive and cover a lot of information. If you are taking them together, I'd make them the only two classes you take that semester.

nope, still smokin like a chimney...Im gonna start again on the chantix, I decided that summer was a bad time, everyone I know smokes...EVERYONE!...and there was just no time that I 'couldn't' smoke, so hopefully it'll be easier now with class and clinicals coming up. We shall see! :stone

Winter was a really good time for me to quit because I didn't allow smoking in my house and I hate to be cold worse than anything in the world. I decided freezing my butt off wasn't worth the nicotene fix. LOL

Hopefully, you'll be so busy with school and such, you won't even realize it's been hours since you've left the books to go smoke. The first two weeks are the hardest so once you decide to do it, just resist the urge to say "and a pack of" when you go to the gas station. It gets easier but the urge never goes away completely.

105 is now posted on blackboard.

Oh gosh, no! I meant one in the fall and one in the spring!

LOL!!! That sounds soooooo much better!

Ok, so there's nothing in there, but the link is there anyhow! It looks like this is my clinical class so I don't expect that stuff to show up for a while.
