I was told the first batch of letters went out from Ivy Tech on the 6th. Has anybody heard when the second batch will go out? :banghead:

Hi and congrats to all those who got in!!!! :yeah: We had our orientation meeting today for Valpo and got all the information we needed and even our class hours we will have!!!!!! I just got my criminal history online and all I have left are a couple shots and the cpr course!!!! I heard Gary is supposed to send out their letters this week, I feel bad for all those still waiting to find out. Well Good luck!!!!

I am talking about the Terre Haute campus. They are waiting so long for the 2nd batch that we still don't know when orientation is or anything.

gymmom I'm so envious, my orientation is a month from today!

ugghh!

I have pretty much everything else done. My shots are done except for my 2nd HIB which I will get after July 4th. My Cpr is done. background checks. I'm so bored waiting.

gymmom do you mind sharing how your schedule will be? I know mine won't be the same, but I'm interested in how other schools are running classes and such. Also what about uniforms? do you have to order certain ones? and what colors?

Are there any rules about stethoscopes? I want to get a nice one, but I have been holding off until I know what we can or can't have.

I hope everyone is enjoying their summer and those still waiting hear something soon!

Hi! when we went to our orientation we were given a choice of 6 blocks and it was given out on basis of your rank.. I got my 2nd choice.

Weeks 1-5: monday 9 to 5:30 tuesdays and wed. from 12-3:15 thursdays 1-5:30 Weeks 6-16 Monday 9-4 Tues clinicals possibly 6:30-3(she said that may change) and Wed. 8-2. I have a friend who went to gary and hers was completely different.. i guess each campus does things differently.. Well good luck all!!!

Gymom, I hope you're right about Gary getting letters out this week. :banghead: Where/who did you hear that from, if you don't mind me asking? I emailed to program chair a few weeks ago and she said they were "hoping" to get them out by the end of June. So you accepted your spot at Valpo and will be rejecting Gary once they get letters out? That new Valpo campus is gorgeous, unfortunately I live about 45 min -1 hour from there or I would have applied there too. Gary is only about 20 min from me so I decided to just stick with that campus. Anyone else waiting to hear from Gary or is it just me?

Gary is only about 10 minutes from me and valpo is almost 30 minutes depending on traffic. But I applied to both and since valpo already got everything done it already seems better organized so Im sticking with it. I tried to call gary and tell them to take me off of their list, but I cant get a hold of anyone.. My 2 good friends are awaiting gary letters, so we have called them a few times. The one lady said it would be next week(last week) and the other lady said the end of the month.. Hopefully it will be sooner than later!!!!!! Good luck!!
