Ivy Tech Spring 2011 Applicants

Published

Hey, just seeing who's on here that will be applying with me. I'm applying to Muncie, Kokomo, and Ft. Wayne. I feel like this is all I think about already. I'm retaking a couple of pre reqs this summer to improve my score. I've already taken the teas but will probably retake it as I only received an 83. I've also attended all the nursing info sessions. What is everybody else doing to prepare? I'm so paranoid about forgetting something! I'm looking forward to talking with people in the same boat. Or if anyone who has already applied wants to share advice, I'd gladly listen!

I am glad we have this to post on as well. It is hard for others to understand what we are going through if they have not experienced it themselves. I hope they get the letters out on time.:uhoh3:

Msmoore-muncie said oct?! Did they say when in oct? I hope its not the end!

If some ppl don't get letters until nov that's really cutting them short on preparation time to start in jan. If accepted we will have to have a physical and get some vaccines right? Plus get everything wed need for the program. Patience is something I'm going to try to work on, but I think ill start after this wait!! I wonder how many people applied this semester. Obviously it varies with each campus.

On a different note, microbiology and eng 112 is helping me pass time. I slightly fear science but I'm actually enjoying micro. Its fascinating! What's everyone else taking this semester?

I also enjoyed micro. I'm only taking the critical thinking class because I'm done w/everything else. :anbd:

I enjoyed micro too. I am currently taking College Algebra 136. It definitely has taken my mind off of spring clinicals. Has anyone taken Math 136?

I am taking micro, ANP 201, and Lifespan Development. Micro is fun, ANP 201 is a killer (for me at least), and I don't really like psyc classes.

I am hoping to NOT have to take math136!!!

I avoided anp 201 like the plague :sofahider two anp's are enough for me.

ANP 201 was a killer for me too. What a challenge you have taken on this semester! :[anb]: Hang in there!

The semester will be over before we know it! :nurse:

I couldn't resist calling Lafayette.... She said the letters should be out "the end of September, beginning of October." I think they're programmed to say that, because that seems to be what they're all saying. :lol2:

I'm taking APHY 201 and Chem this semester. After reading all this, I'm really wishing I'd taken micro! APHY is kicking my butt.

And here I was looking forward to anp 201 in the spring! You guys are definately making me reconsider. Thanks for the heads up! Id for sure recommend micro. I generally struggle in science and I got a 94 on the first exam.

mygirls- Muncie didn't say when in Oct, but it was still a let down :sniff:

And this semester I am in ANP 201, Math 136, Chem 111 and Psych 240...I honestly don't know what I was thinking!! All in all everything is going ok. I have all A's but we haven't tested in ANP yet so that may change, but the class is definitely hard to understand...at least for me and i am so afraid to fall behind! I'm wishing now I would have took Micro, but Chem is NO problem!!

Hello everyone! I'm just as anxious as the rest of you for those letters to be sent out! :yeah: This fall I'm finishing my pre-reques taking APHY201, PSYCH201, and CHEM101. I'm taking APHY201 with Dr. **** in Greencastle and she's an amazing teacher! If you're going to take it, I recommend her for sure! I actually love that class! Goodluck to everyone! 1 week and 4 days until they're *supposed* to send out letters ;)

Yeah, we are getting down to counting days for the letters to go out!:yeah:
