Hey, just seeing who's on here that will be applying with me. I'm applying to Muncie, Kokomo, and Ft. Wayne. I feel like this is all I think about already. I'm retaking a couple of pre reqs this summer to improve my score. I've already taken the teas but will probably retake it as I only received an 83. I've also attended all the nursing info sessions. What is everybody else doing to prepare? I'm so paranoid about forgetting something! I'm looking forward to talking with people in the same boat. Or if anyone who has already applied wants to share advice, I'd gladly listen!
For those who applied to Valpo, I called there this morning. They said the letters go out on the 30th and they had the usual range of scores. He would not tell me how many students they were accepting for the RN program.
What are the "usual range of scores?" There was at least an 8 point difference from the Spring 2010 (198) to Fall 2010 (205-208 depending on who you ask) semester that they accepted into the RN program in Valpo. This stress is really making me start to lose it. :) My 204 wasn't high enough for Fall 2010. And if my new score of 210 (after retaking the TEAS) doesn't get me in......... well, I don't know what. Grr... I agree with another poster. If they know the range, maybe they are close to sending out letters.
Hello everyone!! I have been following this message board as well as the one on Ivy Tech's site and have been stressing right along with you all!! So I decided to join in with everyone. I applied to the ASN an LPN program in Gary and was wondering if there are any others on here that applied there as well and what your scores are if you do not mind sharing. My score was 209 and I am very excited/anxious
to get my letter!! Thank you to all in advance and I hope we all make it!! :)
I applied to both programs at Gary and Valpo. My score is 211. Good luck to you. Hopefully we will be classmates.

I don't know what he meant by usual range. I think he was just trying to blow me off. If anyone else calls please post what they tell you. Maybe as we get closer to the deadline they will tell us more info.

Yeah, I think you're right. Probably just trying to give an answer, just to give one. Frustrating. Thanks for calling them though, and trying to squeeze some info out of them! If I hear anything, I'll definitely post!
@ skyblue1484I hope so too!!!! Are you close to both campuses? It is very frustrating though having to wait for them to send out these letters!! I am keeping my fingers and toes crossed that they send them out on time!!
I'm in Crown Point so I prefer to go to Gary. Valpo does some of there clinicals at Michigan City, LaPorte and Starke county hospitals. Those are at least an hour from CP, some even longer. But I will gladly take whatever I can get!
ambrizzle- is it okay if i ask what your score was last time? and did you apply for both rn and lpn programs??
last semester i had a 200 for muncie, and a 203(region points) for lawrence. i only applied for the rn program though. this time around i have a 207 for muncie, and a 210 for lawrence and i applied to both programs there. i'm really hoping for lawrence's rn program, but i would take anything i can get.
Thanx. Muncie told me they only did LPN for the Spring, but I applied for it with a 200 and the Lawrence Campus campus 203. I highly doubt that the RN program is going to happen, but if I get into LPN i will be MORE than happy with that!! I know my scores are low, but I just keep hoping! Maybe we will be classmates at one of the two!!
