Ivy Tech Spring 2011 Applicants

Hey, just seeing who's on here that will be applying with me. I'm applying to Muncie, Kokomo, and Ft. Wayne. I feel like this is all I think about already. I'm retaking a couple of pre reqs this summer to improve my score. I've already taken the teas but will probably retake it as I only received an 83. I've also attended all the nursing info sessions. What is everybody else doing to prepare? I'm so paranoid about forgetting something! I'm looking forward to talking with people in the same boat. Or if anyone who has already applied wants to share advice, I'd gladly listen!

As soon as anyone receives a letter please post here asap! It will be so exciting to know they're out!

Good idea Mygirls2kk. I will post as soon as I receive a letter. I applied to Indy, Anderson, and Bloomington. 10 days and counting, if the letters go out on time.

For those who applied to Valpo, I called there this morning. They said the letters go out on the 30th and they had the usual range of scores. He would not tell me how many students they were accepting for the RN program.

You know, if they already know the ranges then they must be finished going thru the applications, right? So wth make us wait over a week longer just because its not a particular date yet. I suppose they need time to get the letters ready but still it doesn't seem like that would take long. I'm sure they have a yes and no template and just change the name accordingly. Sigh....not too much longer I guess.

I agree...this is so annoying. I just want to know already. For me personally, if I get in it will be a big change...having to quit a full time job and get several things in order. But, we have waited this long..what's another week;)

Marcy, thanks for staying positive! If I don't get in I'm switching schools but that means I wouldn't finish school til may 2014!!! I'm dreading it taking that long but this is my dream and I will make it happen!

I agree with you! I applied to 4 different campuses because I really want to get in. I currently live in Indy, but will move back to Valpo(home town) for school. What is the other school you are looking into? Did you apply to LPN too? I will take what I can get...I have 204 so I really have no idea if thats good or not. I guess we will see;)

The other school is iuk. I too applied to mutiple campuses. And yes I applied for lpn too. Actually that's what id prefer bc I could transition much closer to home and not have to drive as long. Your score sounds great to me. Mine is only 183 so I know its a long shot but I'm hoping what I hear about less applicants in the spring is true. I'm honestly not expecting to get in, but its still a stressful experience.

the closer we are getting to the end of this month, the more anxious/excited i feel. i just want to know already. last semester lawrence had their letters our a few days early, but muncie took their time and i don't think i got it until the end of june. i'm keeping my fingers crossedd this time and just praying i make it this go around.

Hello everyone!! I have been following this message board as well as the one on Ivy Tech's site and have been stressing right along with you all!! So I decided to join in with everyone. I applied to the ASN an LPN program in Gary and was wondering if there are any others on here that applied there as well and what your scores are if you do not mind sharing. My score was 209 and I am very excited/anxious to get my letter!! Thank you to all in advance and I hope we all make it!! :)

Nobody's gotten any letters yet!? I thought (hoped) for sure I'd have mine by now, based on last semester's send-out dates!

Why must they keep us waiting?
