Ivy Tech Spring 2011 Applicants

Hey, just seeing who's on here that will be applying with me. I'm applying to Muncie, Kokomo, and Ft. Wayne. I feel like this is all I think about already. I'm retaking a couple of pre reqs this summer to improve my score. I've already taken the teas but will probably retake it as I only received an 83. I've also attended all the nursing info sessions. What is everybody else doing to prepare? I'm so paranoid about forgetting something! I'm looking forward to talking with people in the same boat. Or if anyone who has already applied wants to share advice, I'd gladly listen!

Is there anyone else that has not received a letter from Gary? I applied for both the ASN & LPN, but have not received an acceptance or denial letter. Thanks!

Are you in Crown Point? I am and I received mine on Wednesday. Some other posters received letters on Thursday.

Yes, I am in Crown Point. Has anyone received a denial letter from Gary? I'm starting to fear that I didn't get in and that is why I haven't gotten my letter. Or maybe I didn't get into the ASN, so they are holding off until they send out LPN letters, since I applied to both. I'm getting a little tired of waiting!!!

Again, nothing in the mail today. This is getting old, fast. I'm seriously going insane!!! Is anybody waiting on a lpn letter from kokomo? I know there are several of us waiting to hear from muncie and if I've counted right, 4 muncie applicants who most likely got in are declining. Surely well know something by next week, right??

I totally understand. Been driving me :bugeyes: insane. Last I heard they will be mailed out by Monday, but who knows for sure.

First let me give congrats to all who have gotten into a program. I have posted b4 and was less than a point from cutoff in Indy for LPN I really was wondering who was declining Indy for another campus could you post if you have declined Indy for another campus please just so I can get an idea how many alternate potitions are coming avalible Thanks in advance:tku::tku::tku:

I will be decline my Indy LPN, I'm just making sure they recieve my acceptance letter at Gary. I will probably be declining it on Mon and no later than Tues. Hopefully you get in!!! Fingers crossed!!!

I am really hoping to get in glad you got in to gary good luck. Do you know of anyone else declining Indy??????

I am excited to say that I finally found out that I was accepted in to the asn program at Ivy Tech Fort Wayne. If anyone else is in for Spring 2011 let me know. i was wondering if there is any special places to go to for my shots. I also am not sure if my doctor has my shot records to see which ones I need. Is there any way I can request a copy from like the health department and take that to my doctor. I have aleady taken my cpr class at the red cross. I also have to do my background check and drug test. Did anyone go through the recommended website for that already? please let me know how well it worked. I didn't see any where on our nursing information where we had to take a physical, is that required. I though it overheard someone saying we had to take it?

I called a lady today. She said letters will be mailed out at the end of the day on Tuesday. I asked what the low score was, but she could not say.

I know it is way to early to be thinking like this, but I am scared to death. I am scared of starting the program and doing bad. Reading other blogs on here and seeing the different things that people do in the program I am freaked out about not being able to keep up or understand what is going on!! I know this shouldn't even be an issue right now, but I can't help being freaked out right now...Am I the only one feeling like this?!?!

Gangel1, congrats! I was accepted at fort wayne ASN to. Im so excited I can't wait to get started! I just picked up my shot records from my high school because I wasnt sure where else to find them. I am taking the CPR classes at red cross this sat. What was it like? Its not hard or anything is it? Im taking the CPR and AED for professional: is that the right one? And I didn't read anything about a physical but i too have heard people talking about it. I've been trying to reach my advisor the past week but no luck. Oh and I'm just getting my shots at my local health dept.

She only said that the letters were on someone else's desk for signature, and should be mailled out Tuesday evening. I asked her for the low score, but she could not disclose that information. I asked her if the scores were lower than usual, and she again siad she could not say anything more about it. I hope we all get in. I know how hard we all have worked :)
