Ivy Tech Fall 2011 Waiting on THE letter

Published

I've been reading "allnurses" for several years, never thinking I'd reach this point. So, I never registered. However, after 2-years of night classes the dream of nursing might become a reality. Now, the wait for acceptance/denial begins. It's all come to this point for many of us.

Several years ago there was a forum where people were waiting on THE letter. Why not have one for the folks waiting on 2011? If there IS one I missed it.

We're all in the same boat, all waiting on the letter, and wondering if there was a minor detail overlooked. Was the score high enough? Did my transcript fall through the folder, then get swept under the desk? (That one woke me up last night) In my case, my brain can handle the wait...my stomach/intestines are not doing so well.

Thought this might be a nice thread to vent, support, and otherwise worry with each other for the next couple of months. Near as I can tell, it's going to be 74 days, give or take, before we all know....one way or the other.

Best of luck and keep prayin' I know I am! :)

Yeah. The Central Indiana Region's (Indy's) facility where they teach the nursing courses is in Lawrence township. And actually, I think it's technically in the Fort Benjamin Harrison neighborhood. So, that's why most of us refer to it as Lawrence (and why there might be the occasional person who calls it Fort Harrison/Fort Benjamin).

Thank you!

Congratuations hduckworth!! see you in the fall :)...I made it into the ASN program at Kokomo with a 171.56. So relieved to at least have one acceptance letter but still waiting to hear from Muncie region.

Congrats Red Hot....good news indeed. We're in the same boat on waiting on the Muncie region. You've got me beat with a 171.56....hopefully there are TWO slots. :D

I'm with you trex... got my ASN letter from Bloomington yesterday, but I am keeping fingers crossed for Indy!

Hoping I am going to be opening my mailbox and finding an acceptance letter soon too! I applied to South Bend for ASN and had 172.6 (all A's in pre reqs):thankya:...Hoping that score was good enough

No letters today for Indy, North Central region, or Lafayette!

jmm5416 - if you don't mind me asking, what was your total score? I got my denial letter from bloomington, so just curious how far off I might have been.

Has anyone applied to the Sellersburg campus? And is there really a deadline to reply to the letters? I've been checking every day and still nothing :crying2: I'm about to call the school to see if they've even sent them out. And I have all A's in my prerequisites and got a 92.7% on my TEAS. Good luck to everyone else! :nurse:

I also applied at Sellersburg. I called today and was told that the ASN letters will go out tomorrow or Friday. The PN letters won't go out until June 10th. Good Luck everyone!

I like the "tradition" of sending actual letters, but come on...it's not 1950. This is one of the things Ivy Tech should consider adjusting in the future. Just a thought....as I sit by the mailbox for another day. "Hey, you kids get out of my yard!"

Hello Everyone,

I have been following this thread for awhile and finally decided to join in. Does anyone know how it works if you have to accept a spot at one campus before you have received a letter from other campuses? I been accepted into one campus but I prefer another one since it is closer to me, however I have to let the first campus know by June 1.

Thanks for any input on this!

cperry-- I had a total of 176... 4 A's and 86 on TEAS. Did you apply to LPN as well??
