Ivy Tech Fall 2011 Waiting on THE letter

Published

I've been reading "allnurses" for several years, never thinking I'd reach this point. So, I never registered. However, after 2-years of night classes the dream of nursing might become a reality. Now, the wait for acceptance/denial begins. It's all come to this point for many of us.

Several years ago there was a forum where people were waiting on THE letter. Why not have one for the folks waiting on 2011? If there IS one I missed it.

We're all in the same boat, all waiting on the letter, and wondering if there was a minor detail overlooked. Was the score high enough? Did my transcript fall through the folder, then get swept under the desk? (That one woke me up last night) In my case, my brain can handle the wait...my stomach/intestines are not doing so well.

Thought this might be a nice thread to vent, support, and otherwise worry with each other for the next couple of months. Near as I can tell, it's going to be 74 days, give or take, before we all know....one way or the other.

Best of luck and keep prayin' I know I am! :)

Faypha....I should have checked HERE before going home for lunch! Nothing but a bill, note from by brother-in-law about his new command, and a letter asking me to support international healthcare. It was the last one which caused me to chuckle...."I'm trying to get INTO healthcare" I told a silent envelope.

OH, how I want to call the school and ask about the letter. Oh well....

To quote Scarlett O'Hara for the first time in my life..."tomorrow is a-nother day" :)

Has anyone applied to the Sellersburg campus? And is there really a deadline to reply to the letters? I've been checking every day and still nothing :crying2: I'm about to call the school to see if they've even sent them out. And I have all A's in my prerequisites and got a 92.7% on my TEAS. Good luck to everyone else! :nurse:

From what I've seen on here, it seems that you have nothing to worry about when it comes to your points to get in. I didn't apply to Sellersburg. I only applied to Columbus. As far as there being a deadline to reply to the letters, there would have to be one. Otherwise, everyone who applied to a bunch of schools would automatically be enrolled in all of the programs. The other reason is to make people aware of the positions that have not been filled and give those people the opportunity to accept a place in the program.

Ok...the waiting is driving me crazy. I just want to find out and know what my fall schedule is going to look like. Has anyone from the East Central Region received their letter? Also, does anyone know how it will work after you get accepted as far as signing up for classes? I didn't know if they just sign you up automatically for all of your classes or if you have to fight for spots like everything else.

I think I just need to stay of here and keep myself busy until it just comes. :)

I made it into Kokomo ASN with a 178! I applied to Lafayette too, but decided to accept Kokomo because it's a little closer, and we are given a pretty limited time to accept the space in the class. I would have to accept or decline Kokomo before Lafayette letters are even supposedly going out. Good luck to everyone still waiting...and congrats to all who have made it in! For those of you going to Kokomo, I'll see you in the fall for our wild and crazy adventure through nursing school!:yeah:

Rhubarb, I will be home to check my mail by 11:30 daily so I will post if anything comes. You and I applied at all the same places and I will update what comes. Did you apply for PN anywhere?

NO letters today here today.

they don't even give enough time to find out if you're accepted by other campuses? That is awful! I hope I hear from my top choice 1st!

Ok here's what I got. I called Lawrence today and they said their letters will be mailed out no later than this Thursday, called Anderson and Layafette and both said letters should be out by the first week of June, I'm hoping that they come a little earlier than that, is crazy and I'm to anxious. Congrats to hduckworth!

I got accepted into Bloomington ASN program. I am keeping my fingers crossed for Lawrence though.

@ trex90 congrats! how many points did you have?

Is Lawrence and Indy the same thing?
