I've been reading "allnurses" for several years, never thinking I'd reach this point. So, I never registered. However, after 2-years of night classes the dream of nursing might become a reality. Now, the wait for acceptance/denial begins. It's all come to this point for many of us.
Several years ago there was a forum where people were waiting on THE letter. Why not have one for the folks waiting on 2011? If there IS one I missed it.
We're all in the same boat, all waiting on the letter, and wondering if there was a minor detail overlooked. Was the score high enough? Did my transcript fall through the folder, then get swept under the desk? (That one woke me up last night) In my case, my brain can handle the wait...my stomach/intestines are not doing so well.
Thought this might be a nice thread to vent, support, and otherwise worry with each other for the next couple of months. Near as I can tell, it's going to be 74 days, give or take, before we all know....one way or the other.
Best of luck and keep prayin' I know I am! :)
Hello!
First time posting to this site... I wanted to offer congratulations to the accepted applicants so far this semester!
I got my LPN acceptance for Kokomo today! I was hoping for RN, but I'll take the long way around, if that's what's needed! I have a 164.4. I'm still waiting on Anderson (which would be closer for me), but I'm just happy to have a letter!
Thanks rk...one down, two to go. :)
Got to say, though, the photocopied form letter DID hit me the wrong way a bit.
We have ALL spent a lot of money in classes, books, supplies and other things just to be able to apply. WE had to have original documents dating back to our birth....or face rejection. After 2+ years of classes and late nights, is it too much to ask to have our name at the top of genuine letterhead?
Ahhh....that felt good. Just need to blow off some steam.
Still waiting on Valpo. I'm not sure what my overall today score was, can't remember, something like 173 or something, I got all A's in the pre-reqs and a 78% adjusted score on the TEAS. Now I'm getting nervous. I wasn't before, but now I'm starting to freak out! I hope I get in. I tried to call today to see if they sent letters out yet, but no one answered, it's like they knew why I was calling! haha. Anyone else applying to Valpo??
I am totally flipping out right now! I have 166.3 points and applied for RN at Lafayette campus only. Looks like I am going the LPN route, not that I have anything against LPN I just really had my heart set on the RN. I guess it wouldn't be so bad if they still had the LPN for fall. Now I will just be hanging out till spring..... sigh. OH! Congratulations to all who got accepted! GJ!
