Is there anyone else out there, or is it just me? :)
I'd love to connect with others who are applying for the Fall 2017 nursing program.
I am signed up to complete my prerequisites in the spring. English and Public Speaking are already done with an A, from a prior degree with Ivy Tech. They are also going to waive the IVY112 class because I am an Ivy Tech grad.
So I am signed up for APHY101, MATH123, PSYC101, and SOC111.
On one hand, I can't wait for classes to start! On the other hand, with the Holidays, I know the time is going to fly by.
About me: My degree is in Business Administration and my work history is mostly in accounting, but I've been home with our 3 boys for the past 16 years. We have homeschooled for the past seven years. They all went to public school this year, and they are doing GREAT! Now I need a new direction, as well... I've got maybe 30 years of working ahead of me, and I want to have a solid career. I hated being stuck at a desk. Nursing ~ here we go!
And now someone just told me I had to have taken the TEAS by the 10th in order to be considered for the fall?! Has anyone else heard of that? My advisor said May 15th!
I've had this same trouble. I am scheduled to take mine tomorrow and will be submitting my application as soon as possible. Luckily, I am in a position where I can afford to be a stay-at-home mom but if my application isn't accepted because of taking the TEAS so late I'll be pretty bummed out. I am hoping that everything pulls through and I can make it into the Fall program.
Has anyone tried to apply before their final grades were in? I wonder if it would automatically update the grade or if I have to wait until grades are finalized and posted?
I have a friend who applied before final grades were in & yes you "can" do it. I'm still waiting on my APHY grade and I want to see it on there before I officially hit "submit"! (That means she's still waiting for hers, too...)

Thank you so much! I've pretty much been watching this forum like a hawk during the past two weeks that I studied for the TEAs test to see what kind of scores I was up against! Good luck to you and hopefully those acceptance letters/emails will come sooner than we think!!
I just took my TEAS exam today and score a 78%. My combined score is 128/160 which is a little lower than I expected by it falls within the "Advanced" category so I'll take it!
Does anyone know how fast the TEAS score populates in the system so I can finish my online application? Does it happen right away or does it take maybe 24 hours?
I just took my TEAs test today and I got my scores in my application the moment I got home!
Hmm, I tried to refresh my application and I even restarted the entire thing and it still tells me that I am not eligible because I have no TEAS score on file. I spoke with someone from Ivy Tech and they told me to wait 24 hours since I just took my exam.
Don't do what I did! I deleted my application to fix a few things and now it says that I'm not eligible to apply! Even though I had successfully submitted an application! No one at the school seems to know what's going on, so I'm hoping that once my APHY is posted to campus connect I will be able to re-apply!
So...I have a total score of 131....hoping for the Fort Wayne or Muncie campuses!! This is awful guys, waiting is miserable!!! Other people at these campuses, what are your scores???
I just did the same thing (deleted my application because my anatomy grade wasn't on it and I thought I was alright to submit it while a grade was still in progress...) it looks like it's saying I'm ineligible because that grade hasn't posted to campus connect. before, it said in progress, now there is nothing and no green checkmark. I'm going to make some phone calls tomorrow if i'm still ineligible!! let me know if you hear anything back!!
