Is there anyone else out there, or is it just me? :)
I'd love to connect with others who are applying for the Fall 2017 nursing program.
I am signed up to complete my prerequisites in the spring. English and Public Speaking are already done with an A, from a prior degree with Ivy Tech. They are also going to waive the IVY112 class because I am an Ivy Tech grad.
So I am signed up for APHY101, MATH123, PSYC101, and SOC111.
On one hand, I can't wait for classes to start! On the other hand, with the Holidays, I know the time is going to fly by.
About me: My degree is in Business Administration and my work history is mostly in accounting, but I've been home with our 3 boys for the past 16 years. We have homeschooled for the past seven years. They all went to public school this year, and they are doing GREAT! Now I need a new direction, as well... I've got maybe 30 years of working ahead of me, and I want to have a solid career. I hated being stuck at a desk. Nursing ~ here we go!
I just did the same thing (deleted my application because my anatomy grade wasn't on it and I thought I was alright to submit it while a grade was still in progress...) it looks like it's saying I'm ineligible because that grade hasn't posted to campus connect. before, it said in progress, now there is nothing and no green checkmark. I'm going to make some phone calls tomorrow if i'm still ineligible!! let me know if you hear anything back!!
This is exactly what is happening to me! I will definitely let you know what gets resolved tomorrow. Am supposed to call the dean back tomorrow afternoon! Let me know if/when anything changes for you please!
I have not deleted my application but today it says I am not eligible and there is no grade posted for APHY ~ it's just blank. My instructor says he has submitted all of his grades. I thought maybe this was just a problem with the way he did it or something. But this sounds bigger than that.
This makes me feel better! I know the teachers have until tomorrow to post final grades, and I believe I read that grades will be posted to connect by Wednesday. That only leaves us a day! í ½í¸¬
heather, I contacted my teacher yesterday and here is his response:
"Just checked with the departmental office where they confirmed all my grades have been posted. They suggested it may be the result of the blackboard/canvas transition. Give it a bit longer but I wouldn't wait too long to contact the registrar."
I checked on MyIvy as well as the application first thing this morning, and it is still the same. I submitted a help desk ticket at the bottom of the application screen. This is what my advisor had told me to do re: my incorrect TEAS score.
I will let you know what I find out today. You can bet I'll be on top of it! :)
I'm having the same issue with the application. My TEAS score finally pulled up on my application but it's still telling me I'm ineligible to apply. I'll be making phone calls this morning to try and figure out what is going on.
I just checked on mine again this morning and it still says the same thing. My APHY professor told me he was submitting final grades first thing this morning. I'm part of an ivy tech nursing program Facebook group and it is happening to someone else as well. This is insane! When I talked to the dean yesterday she made it out to be like it was something on my end. When I talk to her today I will inform her it's not! I submitted a help desk ticket yesterday as well, per the deans orders but he didn't seem to know much of anything and I haven't heard from them yet either.
This is definitely not the fault of any of us. I have had that application saved for at least a few weeks now, and anatomy and physiology always said that it was in progress. Now it has changed to just being blank. I was always eligible to submit my application before, but now I'm not. This is definitely not something that I have done wrong. This is an error on their end that needs to be fixed pretty darn quick!
Thank you! I still haven't heard anything from IT and my grades haven't been posted yet. Application still tells me in ineligible. Hopefully someone gets some answers today! I can't call the dean until after 2 today, hopefully I will be able to call her with good news.
I left a message with my advisor also, who is the Nursing Program Chair for Muncie. I have not heard back from either of these women (they probably think I'm nuts! Lol, but not funny.)
I spoke with my APHY instructor this morning, who gave me his number and asked me to call him. He insists that his final grades have been submitted, he has verified this with other people in his department, and he has no idea what is going on. He suspects a transitional problem with this new Canvas / Blackboard thing. I have no idea about that ~ what I do know is that my other grades posted right away, with no problem whatsoever.
I got a response from the help desk ticket, that my instructor hasn't submitted his grades to Banner yet, and he has until the end of today to do it. I had already told them that he says HE HAS...... Then I get another response saying my issue has been resolved. Umm, nope. No, it has not.
I created a Help Desk ticket this morning and it was resolved pretty quick. They said that I am ineligible because my MATH123 grade has not posted and that the instructor has until today to submit it. I was also told I could email them and request that he submit it so I can apply for Nursing.
