Hi everyone! I wanted to start a thread for those of us planning on applying by April 1st....
Has anyone taken the TEAS yet? Where are you with your pre-reqs? What campus are you applying to?
I am planning on taking the TEAS in December, so I have enough time to retake it :) and this is my first semester at Ivy Tech. I'm taking APHY 101, ENGL 111, and PSYC 101 all this semester and I will complete APHY 102 next semester. I am planning on applying to Indy.
And good luck to all the Spring 2010 applicants! :yeah:Hope everyone gets in!!!
I went to go take my drug test today - what a disaster. I drank two cups of iced tea at McDonald's before I went but when I got to the testing facility I STILL didn't have to go to the bathroom. The drug test administrator knocked on the door of the bathroom and told me that I ran out of time and I told her that I just couldn't go the bathroom - I was worried that she would think I was just avoiding the test or something! I was seriously about to start crying. Luckily, she was nice about it and let me sit in the waiting room and drink water until I - um - did have to go. Yikes.
On top of that, I pretty much guaranteed myself a B in Chemistry on my final today. I feel so down because this the first B I've gotten at Ivy Tech, and I know if I'd tried harder I could have done better.
Also, I just found out today that I have strep throat.
If I can make it through this week I'll be so relieved!
Wow - I just checked my grades and I guess I did get an A in Chem 101! I knew I had an A going into the final, but I was worried I did so badly on it that it brought my grade down to a B. I guess not. That makes me feel so much better.
I have my CPR class on Friday night, and then the only thing I still have to do is the physical, which I'll probably do this week or next. I just ordered my shoes off of Zappos, I wanted Danskos but we have to get shoes with laces and I couldn't find any, so I got Sketchers work shoes.
It's interesting how much the different campuses vary. We didn't have to buy any sort of lab kit or anything - just a stethoscope, adult blood pressure cuff, bandage scissors, and a pen light.
So this week as been extremely rough for me. I put in my 2 weeks notice at work last friday. They offered me more money on Monday and when I turned it down they fired me on the spot. I was practically speechless. I went to Madison on Tuesday to get my books and that was a disaster. I purchased the big box that included most of the classes, but when I opened it up and compared what was in it to the list of what they said was in it, I was 2 study guides short. I'm really curious as to if this has happened to anyone else? The bookstore manager is looking into it, but it's hard telling how long that will take. Aside from the book issue I've got everything purchased. Now I'm just waiting on my uniforms to come in :) Hope everyone else is doing well!

Thanks, Erin! You're lucky to be able to lose the weight so quickly. I had no problems until after my third child and I ballooned! I lost quite a bit of it, then became pregnant the last time. I didn't get back up to my highest weight, but I was still about 30lbs over what I consider my ideal weight. lol
I'm a little less excited about getting M in pants since I found out they run so big. LOL, I figured that they had to run a little big, especially in the shirts, but they are essentially a size bigger than what I wear in jeans!
But, they are comfy....
