Ivy Tech 'Fall 2010' Applicants

Published

Hi everyone! I wanted to start a thread for those of us planning on applying by April 1st....

Has anyone taken the TEAS yet? Where are you with your pre-reqs? What campus are you applying to?

I am planning on taking the TEAS in December, so I have enough time to retake it :) and this is my first semester at Ivy Tech. I'm taking APHY 101, ENGL 111, and PSYC 101 all this semester and I will complete APHY 102 next semester. I am planning on applying to Indy.

And good luck to all the Spring 2010 applicants! :yeah:Hope everyone gets in!!!

the cut off for the rn program at valpo was a 208! when asked when the lpn letters will go out i was told probably not til next week as we give the rn people two weeks to reply so we give them time to send those back and then we send out the pn. i am guessing then if that is the case, then next week we wont be hearing for pn and probably not til the middle to end of the month is my guess. i asked if they know the cut off of the pn program and he said we do not know that yet...... i am guessing that is based on how many people accept or decline the rn program!

wow! i really didn't expect valpo's cutoff to be so high. is 208 the highest cutoff so far? and yep, that is what i figured about the pn. so at least we can relax for a little while and leave the mailman alone!!! :D kinda scared about lpn if 208 was rn cutoff!

Letters for Sellersburg are out. I got into the RN Program with a 209. It did not say what the cut off score was, but I've been told by a few different people that it was 202. The wait has really sucked, and I'm so glad it's over!! Good luck to everyone still waiting! :D:nurse:

i talked to the nursing dept.today....i broke down and called,i know....bad,bad....whatever lol. she said, and i quote "letters will be out next week,hopefully"..... seriously???? im going to go postal by then, this is killing me!!

so far i've received denial rn letters for indy, lafayette, and madison. i accepted the alternate lpn position at lafayette. my sister called madison and the lpn letters will be going out next week. i had a 194 w/o region points by the way. (3-a's 1-b and a 84 on my teas) best wishes to all of you who are still waiting.

is the lafayette lpn program the only lpn you applied to? i'm in the lpn there but if i get in somewhere closer to home, my lpn spot will be opening up (hopefully for you!)...did they tell you where you sat on the alternate list?

that is the score that i received on the phone from someone in the nursing dept at it

Madison's letters were sent out? I have a friend who applied there and as far as I know, she's not received anything. She had a 215...

no i applied to the lpn at all the campuses. hopefully i'll get in somewhere :) they didn't say how far down i was on the alternate list, but i'm pretty confident enough people will drop. it seems as though most people applied to more than 1 campus.

I just received my acceptance letter for the Valpo ASN program! I'm so excited! :D

what was your score? i got in with a 211 and people are saying the cutoff was a 208. I didnt expect it to be anywhere NEAR that high. When i talked to the nursing chair back in march she showed me a print off from the semester before...the range on that was something like 190 to 212. This jacked up economy is causing allot of people to go in to health care apparently, and they arent dummies either! thats for sure.
