Ivy Tech 'Fall 2010' Applicants

Published

Hi everyone! I wanted to start a thread for those of us planning on applying by April 1st....

Has anyone taken the TEAS yet? Where are you with your pre-reqs? What campus are you applying to?

I am planning on taking the TEAS in December, so I have enough time to retake it :) and this is my first semester at Ivy Tech. I'm taking APHY 101, ENGL 111, and PSYC 101 all this semester and I will complete APHY 102 next semester. I am planning on applying to Indy.

And good luck to all the Spring 2010 applicants! :yeah:Hope everyone gets in!!!

I am waiting for a call back from Valpo to see about my applications as I have not received a letter....just want to make sure my app was not lost in the shuffle.

Hoping for the best for you! They better not have lost it!

Good luck to everyone else who hasnt heard yet. Im interested to see what the REAL cutoff was for valpo.

someone said they thought the cut off for RN was a 206....not sure how reliable that is but if anyone knows for sure please post.

hello everyone - and Congratulations to those that have recieved their letters!! I'm still waiting on the South bend campus letters... I was told they mailed them today - so maybe we'll get them tomorrow? friday?

Its stressing me out -- with all the waiting and the long walk to the mailbox every afternoon!!

Well I had a 203 and it was a no and a 204 was a no so anything 205 and above is possible!!

Chuckie, what was your score, if you don't mind saying???

just saw on the ivy tech board that a 206 did not get into valpo asn so it must be higher than that.

also if anyone finds out when pn letters go out for valpo let me know! i tried to call but i am sure they are swamped and just want to turn off the phones!

i haven't read the ivy tech message boards but it seems like a lot of the info coming from there is a little exhagerated. i'm confident that the woman i talked to today at columbus was being honest in saying that letters would go out this week. what's the web address for the it message board?

well, i emailed them myself to see if they would tell me the same info they told you. she told me that they'd be mailed out next week sometime and that they had right at 300 applicants. so, looks like they are giving everyone different information. guess it all depends on who you get the answer from in the department. its anyone's guess. the wait continues!

same here! i have a 20 month old to keep me on my toes! i think my husbands impatience is worse than mine though. :)

the cut off for the rn program at valpo was a 208! when asked when the lpn letters will go out i was told probably not til next week as we give the rn people two weeks to reply so we give them time to send those back and then we send out the pn. i am guessing then if that is the case, then next week we wont be hearing for pn and probably not til the middle to end of the month is my guess. i asked if they know the cut off of the pn program and he said we do not know that yet...... i am guessing that is based on how many people accept or decline the rn program!

So far I've received denial RN letters for Indy, Lafayette, and Madison. I accepted the alternate LPN position at Lafayette. My sister called Madison and the LPN letters will be going out next week. I had a 194 w/o region points by the way. (3-A's 1-B and a 84 on my TEAS) Best wishes to all of you who are still waiting.
