Ivy Tech 'Fall 2010' Applicants

Published

Hi everyone! I wanted to start a thread for those of us planning on applying by April 1st....

Has anyone taken the TEAS yet? Where are you with your pre-reqs? What campus are you applying to?

I am planning on taking the TEAS in December, so I have enough time to retake it :) and this is my first semester at Ivy Tech. I'm taking APHY 101, ENGL 111, and PSYC 101 all this semester and I will complete APHY 102 next semester. I am planning on applying to Indy.

And good luck to all the Spring 2010 applicants! :yeah:Hope everyone gets in!!!

so i decided i'm not going to accept the spot i was offered as an alternate for the lpn program. i hope that helps someone else to get in! i'm going to finish up some classes at ivy tech this fall, then transfer to iuk in the spring. i didn't want to have to do that, but i don't want to settle with lpn and i'm afraid that if i don't go for rn now, i'll end up as an lpn forever. i am going to meet with someone at iuk next week and get the details for all of that stuff. i think i have to take microbiology, communications, and a computer class and that's the rest of the prereqs i will need for their program. that kinda stinks because i had already signed up for advanced physiology for this fall so i'm going to have to try to get in a microbiology class now and they are all full at this point. hopefully someone will end up dropping, or maybe ivy tech will open another class... so instead of being an rn with an associates degree, i will hopefully be an rn with a bachelors when this is all said and done :-) good luck to everyone and congrats on making it in for those of you who did!! and for those of you who didn't make it in for this fall, maybe i will see you at iuk?

good luck to you at iuk and i wish you the very best in your career. i would apply there but i live way up north so its too far.

Anyone from Columbus gotten there letter yet? I'm still waiting.... :(

Waiting for results from Richmond... was told by a little bird that I was in.. but still scared to death... Just waiting for the envelope that I won't be able to open by myself....

I hope that by me declining the offer for an alternate spot, that it will open up the chance for someone else to take it. I shouldn't have even applied for it. I wish I wouldn't have because there are other people who really really wanted it and I feel like me being on the list could have taken the chance from someone else. Does anyone know what happens if the alternates don't accept? Does that open up spots for other people or do they just leave it as is and not add more people to the class?

thank you! best of luck to you too!

if you let it know that you have declined your position, that should move everyone up.

If you are going to decline, do it early! That way someone else can get your spot. Do it before the orientation day. Congrats to all that have been accepted!

good! i'm mailing out the paper to decline that offer tomorrow :-)

Good luck, tdieterle!

I applied to the South Bend program for the fall, anyone else apply at South bend? It would be great to get to know people and help each other through the torture of waiting for these darn letters! I have a 209, and after reading some of these posts am very worried! Let's help each other out, please post. I am looking forward to getting to know all of you on here. :-)

Hope you all get your ACCEPTANCE letters tomorrow! :nurse:

Still waiting on the Columbus letters....I wasn't nervous before, but now I know people are getting them already, I'm starting to feel the nerves:)
