Hi everyone! I wanted to start a thread for those of us planning on applying by April 1st....
Has anyone taken the TEAS yet? Where are you with your pre-reqs? What campus are you applying to?
I am planning on taking the TEAS in December, so I have enough time to retake it :) and this is my first semester at Ivy Tech. I'm taking APHY 101, ENGL 111, and PSYC 101 all this semester and I will complete APHY 102 next semester. I am planning on applying to Indy.
And good luck to all the Spring 2010 applicants! :yeah:Hope everyone gets in!!!
yeah i definitely know what you mean! i'm right there with ya! i ended up dropping my summer classes because i didn't have enough financial aid to pay for my books :-( but that's good for you that you will be busier next week lol. what classes are you taking? and what campus are you at?
i am taking my last co ed class :yeah:which is abnormal psych. i am also taking the ivy class online. i am going through lafayette campus but have also applied at valpo.....and you?
The hubby and I watch Lost and we're both sad about the whole finale. I also watched Mercy religiously and I'm really upset that there won't be a second season, especially since the season finale was such a cliffhanger!!! The only shows I really watch are Lost (ending), Mercy (ended), Grey's, and Private Practice. Oh and of course Family Guy and American Dad. At least Futurama is coming back which makes up for Mercy AND Lost!!!BTW, how do you guys know who to email? I thought about doing that, but I'm not sure who I would email or how to find out who it would be.
Futurama is coming back???? Sweet!!! I love Family Guy too. Lately I've been watching a lot of Good Eats and Iron Chef America on the Food Network. And of course Horton Hears a Who (my daughter loves it).
I wonder if the Lafayette campus will just be sending out RN letters or if they will be sending the LPN letters too.
great news on the letters being mailed next week!! i am really trying not to stress this week so now that i know they will be mailed next week, i will pretend they will not go out until next friday. this way if they really don't go out until then, i won't be disappointed when i go to the mailbox and there' nothing there. i have been trying to find things to keep me busy this week but no matter what i am doing, those letters are constantly on my mind!! i start summer classes next week so that should help me and give me something else to focus on....i hope.
i have the exact same score as you....the four a's and a 77 on the teas for a total of 197 and no location points.....i am feeling confident, how about you?
I'm trying to get the remainder of my co-req's out of the way this summer so I'm taking Microbiology, chemistry, exposition and pursuasion, and one of those ivy classes. I know it's going to be a handful, but I'm pretty confident in everything but the Microbiology. BTW does anyone know of anyone with the Microbiology: A Systems Approach author Cowan 2nd edition?? I've been looking for it and haven't found much luck on ebay
I'm taking Chemistry, Technical Writing, Intro to Public Speaking, and Managing Personal Finances this summer. Then I'll be done with my co-reqs! Good luck with Micro! I took it on campus last semester in Lafayette and loved it, but it was a pretty hard class. I got an A, but I had to work hard for it. I wish I still had my textbook, but I don't. Feel free to PM me if you have any questions about the class though! Or you can email me, [email protected]
Just wanted to also say GOOD LUCK to all you lovely ladies and keep your chins up - I know this next week is going to be hard, but I'm sure you all got in. :) Me and my husband are going to visit some friends of ours in Columbus, Ohio tomorrow so that should help take my mind off of the waiting.

I can't believe we could have the letters next week some time...the time seems to be going pretty quickly. What was your score? Since I didn't get the region points I ended up with a 199...I'm not sure if I still have a chance being below 200, but I'm sure I'll get into something.

I love Iron Chef, too! My husband is a chef at a restaurant in downtown Lafayette and we like watching it together. Futurama's awesome too - I'm so glad it's coming back.
Gilla - I have a 208. As in all my pre-reqs, 85 on the TEAS, 3 region points. Some days I'm totally sure I got in, and other days I think there's no way I did.

I was feeling so confident that I would get into an RN program but over the past week I have convinced myself that I'll only get into the LPN program. I'm trying to remind myself that LPN is at least a start. But somehow I feel like I would be some kind of failure if I don't get into the RN. I got my region points at lawrence but it almost feels like they are being wasted there since competition is SOO tough at that campus.

well, i was pretty confident until i started reading posts on here where people have over 200 points. but surely 197 will be good enough to be in the top 50. i didn't turn my application in until the day before the deadline and my gpa is 3.5 so if it comes down to tying scores with someone for the 50th spot, i don't know where i stand on that. also, my teas test was 77 point something and i don't remember what it was after the decimal. i just wish the letters would come already. lol i'm not really nervous about it as much as i am impatient i guess...i have big plans for the rest of my life that revolve around me getting in the rn program or lpn program, i would rather get in rn now and get it done with, but if it ends up that i have to do lpn first it won't be the end of the world, it's just going to prolong my journey a little bit more :-(

I'm impatient also. I am usually pretty laid-back about stuff but waiting for the letters is getting to me. Which campuses did you apply to? I applied at 4 so I'm waiting for a boat load of letters...lol
