It's been 7yrs

Does anyone know of a state that will let me test it's been 7 yrs since I graduated a Texas nursing program please help thanks for your time...

You would probably need to do some type of refresher course. After 7 years, you would not be safe to practice as a new nurse.

What research have you done? I'd start with the college where you graduated.

I thought TX required passing the NCLEX within four years of graduation?

Most people don't take seven years to pass NCLEX, so what states might allow it is not common knowledge. You're probably going to have to take some initiative and look up various BON requirements on your own. Luckily, we're living in a digital age. Most BONs have websites that will allow you to click, read, and move on if need be.

Good luck to you.

Thanks

No offence intended, but do you feel that you would be safe to practice after seven years of being out of the field with no experience aside from the schooling without the refresher course? Even if you could pass the nclex? If you are serious about becoming an RN, wouldnt you want to do the refresher first?

no offense taken but I want to be sure i can actually test again b4 I go to spending money on refresher courses but if I can find a state that will allow me to test I will take a refresher course or two

That makes sense ^_^ best of luck
