Hi I just wanted to start this thread just in case my experience would help future nclex test takers. First of all I have been reading threads from this section since last month as a guest and wanted to thank everyone for being an inspiration. Reading your experiences helped me gain confidence as i take my own nclex.
Anyhoo, i took my nclex on july 24 and with 75 questions my computer shut off. I firmly believe that i could not have passed and felt confident in passing if i had not studied saunders. I did not take any lessons whatsoever and just scheduled 2 chapters of the saunders comprehensive everyday and when i finished the book in 1 month i did the CD. I kid you not but in a lot of my questions, i felt like it was taken straight from saunders. What i really wanted to emphasize is that if you know the content and understand the concept you will be ok. There is always only one correct answer. you might get stuck with choosing between two but there will be something in one of them that would make it incorrect. Only in priority questions are all the options correct and you have to choose the most important one. I tried kaplan and i think that kaplan makes it more complicated. The CD is very good because it bombards you with questions structured like the nclex and gives you the rationale and i advise reading each one of them. Also what i like about saunders is that it incorporates along with the rationale the strategy on answering the question
Lastly i have to say that God helped me out all the way. As you take the test take your time, ask Him for wisdom and then after you have taken the test, do not worry anymore. If you know you have done your part, (you've worked you're butt off and sacrificed alot) leave the rest to him. Just have faith!!!
