I'm not sure about that site. It looks like they're happy to take your money for an exam, but I imagine there must be some kind of instruction involved too. I wouldn't give them my money without having all the details clarified.
I have heard that after the first semester of RN school you can work as a CNA... I know at least in this area that PCTs have more technical skills than CNAs. But I suppose it depends on what you learn in your program and what tasks the facilities assign to the techs/assistants.
I think your best bet is to ask your instructors, program coordinator, or possibly contact the facilities you'd like to work at and ask them how to go about it. Or ask one of the techs at clinical - they might be able to tell you.

Where I'm from you don't need any type of exam or certification for pct. for the most part you just have to have completed at least one clinical, or the other qualifying thing would be to be a EMT or CNA. I think they are just looking for your money.
Just apply for positions. It will tell what they are looking for.

Contact any facilities that interest you and ask what their qualificatons are. Check with the Better Business Bureaus in your area and in the area where the website is based, and see if there are complaints. Google the company name and add "reviews" to the search, and see what comes up.
How much are they asking for their certification? Is it all online? If so, that alone would make me suspicious.
Also, check with your state BON to find out what their requirements are. In some states, you can work as a PCA/PCT/CNA after passing your first semester of nursing school. Other states require CNA training to even start clinicals.
What this outfit is offering may not be a scam--it might provide a usable credential--but I'm guessing there are many less expensive and more worthwhile ways to achieve the same goal.
Thanks for your comments. I've put in about 20 apps for a hospital near me (The same one I'm going to clinical at). There application says once you complete one clinical you are eligible to apply for a PCT job there. I'm going to talk with my clinical instructor and see what he says about become a PCT. I'm going to look for other hospital I can apply too when I have a chance. Finals are next week so I may have to wait till they are over so I have some time to fill them out. Thanks again.
