as the title says, please just need an answer. Had interview at a local nursing home on Thursday, got called today for orientation tomorrow, all I know it's gonna be 9 hours.
I'm really happy that I got the job by my first interview and I have no experience in healthcare field. It's just that I messed up and need a day or two to pass the test.
If high possibility tomorrow, I'm thinking of not going so I don't risk losing my license.
any help is appreciated, I know it's my fault.
You don't do it, you won't have the stress of worrying about losing your licenses. It's really that simple! There is enough stress dealing with the overload work on CNA and nurses without the worry of someone wanting to steal medications from the med cart. Anything that takes our focus off of the main purpose of our job should be eliminated. In other words, it's not about us but about the care of others. I'm so tried of babysitting lazy people working in health that makes everyone else job hard because they work in health care only for a pay check. The first thing they should do is a drug test and test randomly because people taking drugs shouldn't be in the health field.

Only thing I do is smoke weed, and I happened to try adderall to study last week.
This is going far, I wouldn't even like to work with someone high on anything in a nursing home, it is irressponsible.
Now if I wanna smoke weed in my free time since I dont even drink any alcohol, IDK why you would have a problem with that.
Sigh. The problem is that you would be violating the conditions of your employment, I am quite sure, as well as the conditions upon which you would be allowed to keep your CNA certificate at all.
MANY places do random screens on any employees with direct patient care. You could get a phone call to report to Employee Health and when you get there, get handed a cup and/or be escorted to the lab.
This is a surprise to you?
