  1. Guys...look at the earlier post. I said im giving it up, im done with smoking. I feel better without it, and no more munchies to mess up with my weight lifting progress. Im moving on from that life and everyone associated with it. the next thread will be about how well im doing at my job, and getting my RN. thanks everyone!
  2. You know what, you are right. Career is more important. I'm giving it up.
  3. I clearly have said, I would never go into work high. I want to take care of the residents the best way possible. I am not addicted to any drug, never been. Not like im gonna relapse on herion or something. Only thing I do is smoke weed, and I happened to try adderall to study last week. This is going far, I wouldn't even like to work with someone high on anything in a nursing home, it is irressponsible. Now if I wanna smoke weed in my free time since I dont even drink any alcohol, idk why you would have a problem with that.
  4. There wont be one. I got physical on friday. Then I start after, I'm already on the schedule for 14 days in may. At my clincals they said they dont test, but the facility was pretty bad. The facility I got hired at is pretty good, and a lot better than my clinicals so I'm surprised that they dont test anyway ima stay clean for now, never know
  5. Actually the adderall I took, I barely felt it...idk if I felt anything actually i did sit for 10 hours including breaks to read the first book in my life on my own, sat in library and my mind wasnt wandering off. Did the same thing the next day. orientation is done, idk why but I guess they dont drug test at all, unless there is suspicion. At clinicals, they told me they dont drug test too. I think they actually should test. Now this is the career im going into, I would never smoke or take a pill before. I can stay till 7 am so easy without even drinking coffee, Im a night person. I will be drinking coffee of course cause I love it. Im gonna be in the sub acute care. she said sorry to put you in the hardest station. I dont actually mind though, seems more exciting to me thanks for help everyone, now ima browse what I can learn on this forum to help me make it.
  6. I havent smoked weed in a month. Stressing over my low gpa and finding out that I probably cant get into nursing school, I ended up trying adderall to help me study. anyway, im at break, no mention of drug test so far, dont think theres one I got hired for 11-7 am per diem not sure how that works, but im guessing on call when needed
  7. Im here worried because this what I want to do. Im not justifying it either, I made a mistake and I admit it. If I wanted to game the drug test then I would have went to a drug forum, and looked at ways to fake the test. Im going to attend the orientation tomorrow.
  8. Do you suggest that I should just not show up tomorrow? I could possibly be clean the day after orientation if I don't get tested. what I took stays in system for 1-3 days, and was my first time taking it. I quit smoking a month ago, and been clean for 2 weeks. Trying that study focus messed me up.
  9. Okay, I really wanna go tomorrow. Question is, if I did fail the drug test, would I lose my license right away or just not get the job?
  10. She took copies of SS card, DL, CPR, and CNA license on interview I'm guessing thats the background check after that got the call today
  11. as the title says, please just need an answer. Had interview at a local nursing home on Thursday, got called today for orientation tomorrow, all I know it's gonna be 9 hours. I'm really happy that I got the job by my first interview and I have no experience in healthcare field. It's just that I messed up and need a day or two to pass the test. If high possibility tomorrow, I'm thinking of not going so I don't risk losing my license. any help is appreciated, I know it's my fault.
